This is my new addiction.

The other day it was 46C in Toronto and I decided to run sprints on a flat I did 20 X100M and loved it. Kept perspiring 20 min after my shower but I loved it anyways.

Them I went to this S shaped hill 150mX10. I loved it even more.:yeah:yeah

Monday another course tougher than the last i could do 10 X150 I a still feeling in my legs so today I run flats again.

This weekend I am going to a cottage and i can't wait to go out and work on my tan while getting y endorphin shot.:shock

The hotter it is more I want to run. I just loved the sensation of being drenched in sweat and pushing over my limits.

I guess that it is related to my Thai boxing days.

But I am crazy not stupid (not much) I always try to take a cold shower before and am properly hydrated.

When i am in fight shape i sprint uphill 400 meters 25 times jogging on the way down, i find sprinting uphill is easier on the joints. takes about 45 - 60 seconds to sprint it, heart rate up to 195, very intense, makes the fighting seem easy.

Its all I did for my boxing matches.

Never found a heavyweight in better condition than myself which isn't saying much. lol

I'd either do steady state keeping my heartrate at 175 for 8 mins or 3..... 2 minute sprints peaking it at about 185 each time. Quick, simple and intense.

It took me 6 months of that 3 times a week to get me in really good shape along with regular training.

Its kinda neat how cardiovascular conditioning is so progressive over time like lifting. A lot of the same principles apply.

Its definately a love/hate thing for me. I used to actually feel scared before my runs because I knew the pain which was in store.

The burn in my legs would always tell my brain to stop which of course I had to ignore. lol Results were second to none though.

LOL... i said when i am in fight shape, i quit training 2 months ago, my son is 5 years old now and being a single parent i just cant find it in my heart to be away training 4-5 times a week and lifting weights 3-4 times a week, id miss to much, i still get a little tear in my eye thinking about it...lol.. a new goal for me is to do a body building show before i turn 30 (im 27)... anyways, i would sprint on sundays, so not after work, i started with 10 and pushed mself every week until i couldnt sprint anymore and by a couple weeks before fight i was at 25 sprints, it is an awesome feeling to be in training and see everyone tired and you still feel fresh, you get to lay a licking on some guys you normally wouldnt be able to, cardio is one of the biggest parts of fighting i belive. And with sprinting uphill i find you can push your heart further without having your legs crap out first. And by the way warlock, the last thing i need is some queer chasing me up a hill!! LOL... (all in good fun man, no bad intentions)
