All 4 are coming in now and the pain is starting to get bad. I see the specialist on Monday and then i assume book a time to remove them all. They have to put me under or they will not operate apparently. I have never been put under or operated on in my life. It's kinda freaky !

My dentist from 2 years ago told me No you will not need them out. She was wrong !! 2 of my wisdom teeth are side ways and pushing up against my current teeth and popping through my gums. I can see my new tooth.. It's creepy.

They wouldn't give me any pain killers either. I hope i can get operated on the following day of the specialist appointment.

So basically, my life sucks !

That is all , thanks for reading my pointless rant.

lol it's routine surgery. You'll be down for one day. And you don't need pain killers. It's not that bad. I had all four taken out.

You may get to keep them anyways. Mine came in the same way but I got to keep them.

nothing to worry about you'll be fine, I got all mine done at the same time and they were all impacted. so the dentist had to cut me up and and break the teeth and extract them piece by piece.
It took me a good week to recover.

Same here. I had them removed a year ago. It was wierd when the knocked me out. Lala land was awesome. It was like an Alice in Wonderland type experience. But the good thing about getting them all removed at the same time is you only have to experience that once.

I've never had them luckily. Dentist said i never will, guess im part of the advanced crowd finally lol. My wife had her's out like 10 years ago the Dr said i have to stay with her cause shes not legally responsible for her actions for 24 hours LOL due too the meds. she was loopy all day.
Both my kids need them out, one has 4 too remove and the other has 3. Oh and they both "need" braces which are not covered under my benefits either..

Advil not helping with pain?? i just had a tooth pulled and thats the only thing that helped me for the last week.

It all depends on the skill of the oral surgeon..if he is good you wont get any swelling and almost no pain....nothing an advil wouldnt take care of and youll be back to work on Monday. If hes not that good...prepare for a week off and get some oxycontin. If you are in the Toronto area...one of the best is Crescent Oral surgery on Eglinton near Warden.

I had all of my surgically removed as well. Only time I have been put under. Honestly it wasn't bad at all. I took one ty#3 after and that was it. I think it also depends on your pain tolerance and how you react. I know people who had bruising and were in alot of pain.

You will be fine :) It is better then dealing with them coming up and down and driving you nuts.

I had mine pulled a few years back by a surgeon who had only done wisdom teeth for over 35 years straight. I had a 5th "calcium mass" that resembled a tooth that also required removing, but I managed okay regardless. It took an extra hour to get the 5th tooth thing out.

Even though he did a fantastic job, and I had no issues at all, he provided a prescription for Hydromorphone, T3's, and told me to take Ibuprofen with it as well if needed. Narcotics sure are fantastic for this sort of thing - I felt like a chinchilla in terms of laziness and ability to stay awake.

I was in surgery on Thursday, and back at school on Tuesday (long weekend) with no problems.
