Anyone ever do one? I was recommended to one over at intensemuscle (http://www.intensemuscle.com/showthread.php?t=19652)and I might give it a shot as I got some bloodwork back and my ALP level was high, which my doc said might be related to gallbladder problems. So I was thinking of just doing a little cleaning of the pipes. Anyone got any experience with it or different ways then the way I posted?
And if anyone has any idea where to get the charcoal and the herb tabs let me know.

Jeesus Pleesus have you considered dynamite?
... alternately plenty of water and a decent fibre supplement Ala Metamucil twice a day will ensure you are regular and your lower intestine is healthy. Bran muffins work, as does eating your veggies.
The whole colon cleansing thing is pretty much utter bogosity. About the only place I can see it having some legitamacy is in flushing out absolutely everything in your guts in hopes of appearing like you have a smaller waist pre-contest.

Ive used some digestive aid tab, and it didnt work to well. Metamucil I will giver a try. I drink tons of water cause I work outside but I doubt I eat that much fibre through my greens.
Do you go with the metamucil tabs or powder and just take it in the morning and at night?

Psyllium is fantastic stuff, even on its own. Not sure if I'm buying the rest of that package, but you can easily find the husks at Bulk Barn on the cheap.

ive been considering doing the master cleanse diet for a week right before i start bulking in september. its that basic organic lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper mix with a daily salt water flush. i was listening to dave palumbo talk about it on heavy muscle radio and he recommended to try it. i may ask praetorian about it.
i do use a fibre supplement daily though so i feel somewhat 'cleansed out'

Sugar free orange metamucil is my nectar of choice. A good fiber supplement is really all you need to ensure a clean lower intestine.
I put a tablespoon of flax and a tablespoon of phsyllium in each shake. 5 shakes a day. It works well.

Being regular is high on my daily priority list. I always aim for 38 grams of fibre in form of oats, broccoli, other greens. If needed I'll add a bowel buddy or Metamucil wafer. Minimun 4 L water a day. Sleep is a big factor too. And I have an office job
Best overall fibre / enzyme supp. in my opinion is hemp protein powder. This stuff is LOADED with healthy fibre and enzymes that will wipe clean the walls of your intestine in no time. The added benefit is that each serving contains about 10 grams of high quality protein as well.
It tastes very grainy but it gets the job done.

Agree with all the above methods but if nothing else works and your absolutly dead set on cleaning out your colon just get an enema from shoppers drug mart. There about 10bucks or so. Before shows its perfect for getting rid of that last bit in your stomach and killing 2lbs of shit that should be removed. It will work gaurenteed but not something that should be used frequently at all. But it does work for 1 time and cleans you out entirely in the lower intestine. Just hold it in as long as possible and it will work better and remove more. Its horrrible and very uncomfortable but it does work so if you need to do it you can.

i think some people are missing the reported benefits of a colon clense.

Super greens are awesome for this, waaaaay better than metamucil or benefibre etc......Colon cleanses are relatively effective, but always better to start from inside and work your way out.....Also follow up with a good probiotic regiment(good ones that need refrigeration, dont cheap out), try and get all yeast products out of diet for the cleanse, and no sugars......Plenty of water and you will be feeling great...

Even the sugar free stuff still has maltodextrin in it .I don't think that would be a good clense. Sure it will help you be regular , but isin't the point of a clense to get all the chemicals / toxins out of our system ? \
That's the way I see it anyways.

Same here! It's extremely important with my family history (both my Dad and Grandfather had colon cancer)
I watched a Dr. Oz show where a lady asked a question about colonics, and colon cleanses and detox's etc. He said the best thing you can do for your colon is to drink lots of water and eat a very high fibre diet. He added that an enema or colonic will do very little if anything at all to clean out your intestines.
He is not the be all end all of physiology, but I think he hit the nail on the head.

A cleanse doesn't do anything about chemicals/toxins. That would be the scam part of a cleanse. It will however absolutely dump everything out of your guts and make your waist look smaller for a show if that's how you are bent.
As said above the positive elements of keeping your lower intestine healthy, clean of junk/wierd growths and best able to absorb food nutrients is drink plenty of water and consume lots of fiber.

Keeping your bowels cleansed aids in getting toxins from fermenting foods etc to exit the intestines and thus help in getting the most nutrition from the food you ingest......Get it in and out as fast as possible...
I use fibre capsules that have psyllium husk in them when I feel I need a good cleaning lol.
