Upcoming opportunities for lifters in Canada (100% RAW Powerlifting Federation)

100% RAW Powerlifting Federation will be hosting two upcoming events in the United States which border with Eastern Canada. The first will be held August 29th in Derry, New Hampshire, and the second September 18th in East Syracuse, New York. Both of these are Sanction II events (meaning that you will be eligible to set Canadian National and Provincial records).

Our federation’s World Championship events are also rapidly approaching. We anticipate numerous International athletes to compete, and are certainly expecting several from Canada as well. The 2010 World Powerlifting Championships will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 2nd-3rd, and the Single Lift World Championships will be held in Virginia Beach, Virginia, November 6th-7th. Opportunity for a few guys in southern ontario to lift who are willing to drive for several hours might have been a bit more appropriate.

The border between canada and the united states is a fair bit longer than ontario.

I always wanted to try a raw lift meet, as I never wear any belts or suits as I find them uncomfortable. I would be interested in the deadlift event, and unless they have a handicap event I wouldn't do too well in the squat event, I can only manage 4 plates right now.

Oh and I think I have something that day .. oh yeah .. my damn wedding, crap.
