Well i had the chance to use one over the weekend at a buddies place. It's the ultimate blender with a 2hp motor!! i'm completly amazed with it, we made orange sorbet, Peanut butter, peanut butter ice cream, and a shake with spinach, chard, 2 apples and 1 and a half banana's. all of this took use 45 mins including time to eat all of this. plus him doing his best "vince the sham wow guy" demo.it comes with a recipe book with some awsome meals in it. super easy to clean to thats a bonus for lazy fackers like me.
The dam thing will make soup and when it's finished it comes out of the blender hot and ready to eat!! It blends like no other machine but at $579 retail its not too affordable. he got his at costco for $499, i hope the have some left this weekend.
Anyone on here using one?? If i seen it in the store and had never used 1 before i'd laugh at the price. But after using 1 i know it's worth the investment for me.
You're absolutely right. Anyone who pursues this lifestyle and has the cash would be silly not to invest in one.
I paid $15 for a blender at crappy tire that lasted me over 2 years. Solid investment.

Same here. But my $15 Blender is not even comparable to this machine. Check it out on youtube, Vita Mix 5200.
My wife was even amazed by it so it was an easy sell as we ate what we made with it. I think if someone is in this lifestyle then it's certainly a great machine to have.

I'm not exactly sure what I'd use a blender for but they are cool.

If I am going to drop $500 on a blender I'd get this one over the vitamix:

There pretty much the same, but the Blend tec didnt come with the tamper. No no they are much different blenders. Vitamix has four short blades and a narrower carafe. The blend tec has two long blades (4" inch in the 96 oz carafe) which generates a bigger centripetal force and does not require a tamper. Everything just gets sucked in

I've had the vita mix blender for years now, 16 or 17 years i believe... I used to grind up sawpalmeto in it, the thing is industructable. The only thing going on it is the gaskets they're now leaking a bit. Anyone know where you can get parts??
