Pride weekend was fantastic: weather was perfect and I was walking shirtless pretty much everywhere but a little pet peeve started to bother me.

At least 4 times guys in their 20's say something like: I want to have a body like this, I will not take my shirt of because I don't look like you and so on.

I didn't find it flattering just annoying.

I always responded with: Work out and eat protein!:hu

Seriously: I am 40 and look better than them?

If you don't look decent (I am not talking about porn star shape) when you are 20 when will you ever do it?

A friend of mine came up with the best line: looking hot when you are 20 is your obligation after 40 is determination!

ya if you let yourself go in your 20's its very very hard to reverse the curse. You are usually at a disadvantage at that age (40's) with a full time serious career, family, mortgage..etc . What city was the parade in ?

It was just a great weekend overall specially after the G20.

Lots of people that are not part of the community having fun in the streets plus guys from west and soul due to Canada day and Independence day

Me (with my shirt ON, lol) and the gf went to the parade with one of her friends and the girls were both disappointed with the low quality of the beefcake on show. It seemed like the few guys that were lean were twinky and the majority was skinny fat, even the fitness models hired for some of the floats were on the skinny side....and forget about the crowd, that was a total loss.

You seem to spend a lot of time worrying about what others do instead of what you do. Why do you care if a 20 year old isn't in shape? How does that affect you? Why does it bother you?

I also know 20 years olds who may not be as aesthetically pleasing as you but I bet that's destroy you in most types of athletics. I know front line football players who weigh in at over 280lbs who can likely sprint faster than you, lift more than you and in general are head and shoulders more athletic than you. I also know these same people in their 40's.

gotta agree with nate.. learn how to take a compliment WL. Just becuase someone is not in great shape in their 20's doesn't mean that they won't be at 40.

I look better now at 38 then I did when I was 28 or 18 for that matter. How is this a bad thing. Some people find the gym and the discipline to be healthier later in life.

im happy with how far ive come at 21 but id still like to look like most of you guys at 40. At 21 i hate to admit it but lifes all about shows, gym, bb, etc.

I know when i get older and if me and the gf have one of our own it will be a lot differnt and i might not have the time i do now. But i appreciate anyone who is jacked or athleticly gifted at any age.

I can tell how warlock got a bit annoyed. Its nice to get a compliment from a female or someone being honest but when a bunch of chumps hang on your nuts like your some physqiue GOD when ur def not that its like cmon man you could be this for fun just TRain and eat.

I remember last summer when I was trying to get my bench up, and I was at 315 lbs and this really big tall black man came up to me and we started chatting. He must have been over 50 or so.

He said that he used to warm up with my weight. (This kinda offended me since I was working towards my PR). So he decided to ge under the weight. Next thing u know the bar drops to his chest and he cant budge it. I should have left him there with that "warm up" weight. ****ing clown.

Leigh and I went to the beach last year a few weeks out from her Nationals... she actually had people stopping and saying "oh my god, that's disgusting" and "why would anyone do that to thier body" and people staring and laughing and OBVIOUSLY talking about her. It was kinda hurtful. I felt sad for her. The worst part, most of the people who said anything negative (there were at LEAST 5 comments I heard that I would call negative) were from overweight women. women are catty bitches... so are fags... doesn't surprise me you got that reaction at Pride.. lol
