A long time friend of mine recently went through a break up after fifteen years. His ex moved out and apparently took everything with her.
Knowing my buddy doesn’t have a whole lot of money, I’ve decided to sell my extra sofa sets, 40 inch TV, a brand new carpet and other stuff.
Everything was still wrapped in factory plastic and TV was unopened still inside the box. All this stuff was for my basement once I finished it but I figure my friend could use it.
As I was bringing the sofa up the stairs from the basement I lost my footing and fall down a flight of stairs with the sofa landing on top of me.
For sure I thought I was dead but after a few moments, I got up only to have a sore back. I guess the big chief upstairs decided to give me a break.
Once I deliver the furniture to my friends apt, he was lost for words and had tears in his eyes. I told him that the big chief was watching over him. That night I had the best sleep in almost 3 years. I slept like a baby.
