You want to find a rollerblading buddy. You want people to post clean vegetarian recipes.
Hmm, how about you try and be part of our community and contribute something instead of simply looking to take from the community.

Well, first of all I was trying to start a thread, looking for people serious comments in the WOMENS section I might add. I also just posted them now and haven't had a chance to post any recipes yet. But I was looking to make some female friends to work out with. Not sure why I am even justifying your response here... this forum is to meet people and share healthy tips and such! Correct me if i'm wrong!!
Ill go for a skate with ya, and afterward well bbq up a 20 oz steak with a baked potato
:)
You guys should lay off the initiation rites. She's not doing anything wrong.

Agreed. Give her the chance to become part of the community. She's actually contributed more than a lot of others here in her short time on the site. You all want this to be a welcoming place to bodybuilders, fitness enthusiasts in Canada right?

Thanks for all your support here!!!.. I am a huge fitness enthusiast!!! I struggle sometimes to get all my cardio in as I find it a little boring. Hence the Rollerblading request for a partner!... I did however just come across a tip that is pretty standard but it helps me get through cardio on days that I can't get into it! 20 treadmill, 20 stair mill , 20 elliptical. Breaks it up and you don't fell like you just did a whole 60 min!!!

I try to do cardio daily, but don't always get it in. And I don't always do an hour... usually 45-60 min roughly. Depending on what I am doing. Do you suggest doing it differently? Time wise or days?

My goal right now is to lose another 5-10 pounds. It all sits in my mid section, my abs are there but are hidden by a stubborn layer of belly fat that I am having a hard time getting rid of!!!

Those last few pounds usually come down to your diet. I noticed that you were a vegetarian. I don't know enough about that to offer any real advice. As far as cardio, have you tried interval training? Something like walk 2min, jog 2min, then full out run for 30sec-1min, repeat. Try that for 20-30min. Works really well, not boring and is less time consuming.

Thank you! I will give that a try.... I definitely do the interval as well sometimes, but will try sticking to that for a bit and see if it helps!

great advice 69 that burns time on the cardio equipment.
Being a vegetarian can you give a break down of your diet, maybe your not eating enough.

Welcome I am in Etobicoke ... I have roller blades but honestly haven't used them in a few years. :)
As for 1400 calories being enough that really depends on your height weight age and activity level.

I live close to Sherway. What gym do you go to? (PM me if your not comfotable posting it.)
As for blading it would depend on what time you going blading. Also a promise not to laugh if I fall. :)
If your work out 5 to 6 day a week your calories burned are closer to 2200 per day thats before account for the calories you burn exercising. I suggest signing up for fitday.com it is free great way to track diet and training. If your under eating for long periods this can actually cause the plato in your weight lose cause your body goes into starvation mode.
I am glad to see you are eating fish :) so safe to assume you are not a strict vegan? Is it religious reasons you don't eat meat? Do you eat eggs or milk products? Do you eat a lot of soy?
Just from a personal stand point I was a vegatarian from age of 14 to about 21 better know as my tree hugging hippy years. :)

I am strict vegetarian when it comes to meat yes... and fish occasionally give me a hard time. But I do eat eggs sometimes and only have a small amount of milk in my 1 coffee I have a breakfast. I don't eat soy everyday but a couple times a week probably. I eat a lot of legumes... My none meat eating is not religion, it started to gross me out about a year ago... The way they are mass slaughtered does not interest me to eat.
I will PM you the gym..

I saw a cow slaughtered when I was 14 casue my dad figured it wouldn't bug me grew up on a farm most of my life. I guess I was still more impressionable then he thought cause I ddin't eat meat for almost 7 years. I can say that in the last 9 years I have easly made up for the 7 I didn't eat meat as I have it chicken 3-4 times a day typically.
I wont bash you for what you believe but I can tell you one thing I know for certain I would have never been able to get as lean as I had for my past contests if I was still a vegitarian.
There is free range and organic but that is expensive. Just my 2 cents :)
