Body composition testing in Montreal

Hi all. My first post here.

Anyone know where I can pay for a hydrostatic test or Dexa scan for body comp testing in Montreal?

Perhaps my search-fu is weak, but this question doesn't seem to have been posted before. My apologies if this has already been answered.

If you are willing to make the drive the university of Laval does it, but you better be speaking french because this institute of higher learning doesn't seem to have anyone that is willing to speak english, I got in several arguements with their kinetics department.

That's great news. Is it expensive?

I don't think the French thing will be an issue - I can get one of my buddies to go with me to help me out. I'm still learning.

If you get that far let me know. Last time I got it down it was 50$. I have also had DEXA done, which if you can find somewhere to do it get it done, definately worth it. Lowest I have gotten so far on DEXA is 5.8% the hydrostatic weighing was about the same.

If you can't find those, look for a local Bodpod or a good professional with calipers, try looking for a local biosignature practitioner, they tend to me pretty good in my experience.

I deal with a local biosignature practitioner which I have been very satisfied with the results, he also runs a Functional Movement Screening which will give you an idea of imbalances in your movement.

Finding a DEXA place in Montreal would be my preference, but I just can't seem to get anywhere with that. I'm gonna ring up the hospitals when I'm back in town (just a few days now) and see if they'll do a DEXA scan. I have a feeling that Royal Vic may do it.

I'd love the contact info for your biosig contact - I don't mind driving a couple of hours away to get an appointment or whatever.

Did you ever find a location for DEXA scans? I am looking in the Montreal area too.
