At 264 lbs.... to me he just pushes his weight around...and takes pride in rubbing his belly and saying he is going for a beer and mcdees... Arrrggg

Drives me nutso.... but he seems to appeal to some sort of masses ( the average guy I guess...urg).....

I believe he has power behind him but please do not disgrace mma... They finally have true athletes... not fatsos that just happen to be bigger and push their weight around ( that's what it use to be )...

The GSPs and Lesnars ( I know many don't like him but he has speed as a heavyweight.... that is impressive) show athletism and skill.. improving each time.. that's what appeals to me anyways

I can't wait for UFC 117 when Dos Santos shuts his lights out....

He's definitely more than meets the eye.. he's a black belt in BJJ under Renzo.. which isn't easy to get. I don't think he will ever be in the top heirarchy of the heavyweights but he will make a good gatekeeper.

Well yea, he can fight for sure.
But it kind of makes MMA look amateur for casual sport fans.
When they see guys like him they'll say, " it's just a bunch of fat guys swinging like bums" about MMA.

Dunno..... MMA seems to be the trendy sport these days, full of "casual" sports fans IMHO.

Getting gassed hasn't seemed to be an issue for him yet, being overweight and having shitty cardio is two different things.
Kimbo is case in point..... Guy looks like he could go 20 rounds, but he gets gassed really easy.

As far as body types...... Monson has only had moderate success at the top levels, Tre Teligman ETC........ Fighting is fighting, just like bodybuilding is bodybuilding.... two different sports.

IMHO..... if you're gonna be a heavyweight, better off being 265 than 230 lbs...... not saying fat is better than muscle, but you might as well max out the weight class.

have to also remember it takes more effort/oyxgen for a muscular fighter than it does a fat fighter.

I'm willing to bet that if Nelson threw the same punches in the Lesnar fight as Carwin did he'd have had enough gas left in him to keep fighting.
