Walking into spiderwebs

This often happens to me as soon as the spring thaw starts. It occurs almost anywhere I am walking around outside, even in the most unlikely places where I would never assume a spider would be under construction.

Just wondering if this happens to anyone else on here? I find it extremely annoying and pretty gross. Probably more common with people 6' or above.

I just find it extra creepy because it always hits me in the face / head area. The people Im walking with are always like "what are you talking about"? and I just say "Jeeeeez, midget"

Happens to me all the time and I friggen hate it. I don't know why spiders and their webs kinda freak me out.

I guess you guys dont go camping much or walk in the nature trails.

Doesn't really bother me, unless it's a thick web, in which case you would notice it from far away.

Although, I hate those green caterpillars that hang from trees on a string of web, then fall in your hair or on your back.

LOL, I`d be the worst camper. I used to spend the whole summer camping outside in my tent. Now I can`t even stand to eat outside near all the plants and trees becasue of the bugs it attracts.

I always seem to think there`s a bug on me even when there isn`t. It makes me feel like a crazy person...

Old spice deodorant attracts bugs like nothing else.

A lot of times a spider shoots a sticky web and when the end attaches to something it crosses it. Most of the time you walk into the trailer web. I've had the pleasure of walking into some of these webs while the spider was still on the shooting end and ready to cross. Ever wonder how it feels having a spider crawling up the back of your neck? I can see some of you cringing right now...lol
As a kid I often used to play with spiders. Had no problems with them in my hands or on my arms until the day I got bit. Damn did that hurt. That ended my enjoyment of playing with spiders.

Some types of spiders use wind currents to travel and launch themselves on a strand of silk to control themselves when the wind blows. What is left after the spider lands is what you run into.

Consider yourself lucky, most spiders in canada are harmless. I hate spiders and hated it even more when I was working in the southern USA and had to do a black widow check in my shoes every morning.
