View Full Version : How do you eat on a bulking cycle?

the one i did i went all out and ate everything i saw, gained a lot of strength and size but fair amount of fat

was a basic test prop cycle at 600mg.week for 15 weeks

this time im thinking of upping calories gradually to limit the fat gain?

what do u find works best?

I eat the following every day on a bulker. If I'm getting too fat I cut back on carbs. Lean bulk be damned! It's not that hard to lose fat when you choose to.

3 whole omega eggs and 6 whites with two pieces of multigrain bread; or shake with yogurt, banana, pb,and 50 grams isolate

I cup dry volume oatmeal and 50 grams isolate

Post-workout: shake with yogurt, maltodextrine or dextrose, banana, pb, and 50 grams isolate

2 cans salmon or tuna and rice or pasta

7 oz beef with rice or pasta and vegetables

3 1/2 oz beef or 7 ozs chicken with a big load of pasta

shake with yogurt and 50 grams isolate

I also snack on cashews and almonds. Additional fats come from pb and olive oil.

On my bulkers i never manage to get to fat and can always see my abs. I dont have crazy metabolism nor am i not carb sensitive. I just eat a large amount of food and train 5-6 days a week intensely. My diet consists of the following in no order but i always get it in every day.

-chicken breasts
-1lb xlean ground beef
-50g pro isolate, 3 times day
-brown rice (2-3cups minimum)
-chic peas, red potatoes, pasta.
-bananas, oats, ww bread, cereals
-natty pb, almonds, dextrose pwo.

I dont technically have it broken down into the hours because in offseason i try to keep it somewhat diff from day to day so im not locked into a routine like i am the other half of the year.

Also if i want to pig out on some mcdonalds, shit food etc. I try to limit it to 1-2 times a week max. Thats usually not an issue tho because all that ground beef usually makes me so full i couldnt manage to plow down fast food.

I have been drooling lately thinking about bulking starting in november... peanut butter, pasta, toast.... O god...christmas eating season... STUFFING!! ok... i go to go now...

4 weeks of dieting left for this guy!!! Then I`ll be like "Boom, take a look at this hunk of mass"...

Gonna be a sweet, sweet rebound phase, one I haven`t had in years!

how low of a BF percentage should you achieve for a good rebound effect?? or is it more so just about dieting, not necesarily how low you get??
