The Classic Doctor steroid warning story

Ok guys is it me or is it almost every doctor you see about gear has the exact same horror story....... here was mine

"Oh you shouldn't be using anabolics, 2 weeks ago a 25 year old firefighter came in here with a massive heart attack from steroid use, he later died"

I bring this up because my buddy just told me last week that his doctor told him an identical story about a 24 year old athlete........ and it was last week he died

I recently went in to check for an infection and the doc simply said its not good for you. He didnt get into much detail but then again it was a walk in.

I've never had to go to the doc for an infection related matter, but if I did I would tell him that I pinned B12. I don't need uninformed comments from some pencil neck doctor.

I think my doc gave this answer:

You are young (I was 27 at the time), you can probably get away with doing a few cycles, but be warned that the effects are cumulative and as you get older you are putting yourself at higher risk for cardiovascular problems.

He insists on running blood work when I'm on, which is great.

Sadly, he has recently left his practice to work at a hospital, and I have not yet met his replacement.

My Doctor is well aware of my use and is completely off the record about it. She, of course, doesn't like it and told me about all the "potential" problems that come from using them, but also said that that doesn't mean that it will neccesarrily happen to me. She monitors my blood work, ecg, and free test levels on and off cycle. She is really cool about it and said that we all have our dirty little habbits and it's not for her to judge me. My wife had breast augmentation and was scared to tell her for fear that she would give her a hard time about the potential dangers, but was relieve when the dr. said...Oh, I got mine done too! Again, from a professional standpoint, she doesn't agree with it, but since I don't smoke, do any rec drugs or drink at all, she said as long as I'm eating healthy and living an active lifestyle, she see's no real harm as long as we are monitoring it. She will NOT perscribe them for me though...

i had a doc tell me i was stupid to mess with hormones. i asked him why women were able to use birth control safely, he didnt have an answer.

now, later in my life, i think in most cases he was right.

My friend sees a doctor here that is the Medical doctor for canadian Olympic,he said the real problem is with Orals,over a long period.High LDL,and low HDL,and Heart problem.He has 30 years of paper work to finally back it up.I will get you the link.

Here is the doctor,he won't just hand out his paper but look at his web pages and see that he knows if stuff.

"How do you know what you're getting quality-wise" I said you don't, just rely on word of mouth & experience, I swear I've had bottles of nothing but oil before. I've also had stuff that's like rocket fuel, when you find a good one you stick with it. He was interested, I told him one of my friends even had a bottle once marked "for horses only" and the word horses wasn't even spelled right!!! LOL

That is one of the major reasons I stopped using gear over 6 years ago. After getting fake gear I asked myself what the **** I was taking this risk for. I didn't have a good answer so I got off.
