View Full Version : Floods
Has anyone here been effected by the flooding in Medicine Hat / Sask ?
This looks very bad. Hopefully the government steps in and helps some of these families / farms / business out.
Looks like it's far from over .

I am in Saskatoon and when I was flying in you could see all the water. It's crazy. They say it's the worst ever...... highways shut down....farmers in dire straits!! Going to see how the mosq's are today.....I bet they are hungry little buggers.
On the bright side I found an awesome gym here....Ironworks...... very cool old hard core gym.....$7 drop in...can't beat that :) Had an awesome leg workout!

I'm in the Hat. The worst part about all this is we wont see the snow runoff from the mountians until about mid July so it may get worse yet. The portion of Hwy 1 was washed away and vehicles are sent on a 3 hour detour to get around it. A portion of the railway track is also gone and i have heard rumors, i don't know how true it is, that it is costing CP rail millions of dollars a day while that part of the track is down. Needless to say its pretty shitty around here and looks like there may be a little more on the way.

I live in an area that has been untouched by flooding in year, yet my basement has water due to a drastically high water table.
