While I prefer Rippetoe and Wendler's (oops I mean Tate) videos for setup I thought this was a really good video for showing the role of hip drive in the dead lift.

I like diesel crew.... Which grip do you use t? I find it almost impossible to not use the over/under.

good video, i always watched those videos of mark rippetoe and dave tate always getting confused with their setup for deadlifts

A person can never watch to many of these.
I can't get that hook grip yet. I will use a double over until the weight is too heavy to hold then make that switch.

I'd need a really skinny bar for a solid hook grip. I just use an alternate grip once I'm over about 350 and I'm careful with my bicep.

I used some stuff from this video today. Scraped my shin and didn't notice till after, got blood all over the bar. I noticed that bringing the knees forward really helps get your hips closer to the bar. I also noticed I'm not driving my hips forward enough because I need to use my glutes more.
