How to make the most of your lifting straps, whether they are "nonslip" lifting straps or not.

Interesting. I actually had no idea how to use the straps correctly. (non-rubberized.)

I have similar straps to those...gotta say, they are the "grippiest" straps I have ever used....takes some practice to get them wrapped correctly as they have no "slide" when yer wrapping around....but worth the effort

thats funny I have those stupid straps with the rubber ridges, and the ridges are on the wrong side.

my first day with them in the gym, i realized they weren't gonna work so i flipped them inside out and they work good now.

what a horrible design, you would think they would test out the straps before putting them on the market.

Inventions to solve problems that don't exist. The only novel grippy thing I've seen lately that I'd like to try is the versa grips. They seem reallly convenient but the price is way too high for me to give up my cotton straps.

The OP sent me a set of these to try out. I have VERY tiny hands and wrists (most men's watches don't fit me, that's how small they are). I tried these out for two weeks on some sets of deadlifts and kroc rows. I have to say that they are an improvement over the regular straps and are very grippy, and the padded back is quite comfortable against the wrist. I'd certainly recommend them if someone was comparing them to cotton straps.
