View Full Version : New Way To Eat Eggs?

When dieting I don`t eat eggs because I like them with ketchup or catsup if you prefer... But now I`m getting hungry and need more food. Last night I picked up some omega 3 eggs and wanted to cook 4 of them before bed. I forgot to get butter and was out of olive oil.

So I put some natural peanut butter in the pan and cooked them up. Tasted pretty good. You guys should try it!

Damn eggs are expensive. Bought some more at the grocery store today. Over $4 for a dozen of the highest dha eggs I could find. They have 125 mg of dha per egg. Not bad.

That's a little pricey for omega 3 eggs. Yes they are pricey but you should be able to take a buck a dozen off of that. I eat about 3 dozen a week with my egg whites.

Frank's hot sauce is the only thing that makes them tolerable.

Unfortunetly my asshole disagree`s with the hot sauce making anything more tolerable, lol...

ritch try scrambelling them really quickly on high heat and throw in a generous amount of cinnamon. tastes exactly like french toast (if you like french toast )

Shit... I don`t know if I got a bad batch of meat when I was trying cinnamon in my oatmeal, but that stuff was making me think I had to shit... My stomach was bloated and when I went to the can I would let out these long farts with some juice that followed...

But hey, I`ll give it a try tonight. The frech toast referal sounds convincing.

Try some splenda and cinnamon on them after scrambling. Or toss in a scoop of Muscle Milk tastes great.

I like cooking mine in coconut oil, 6 whole free range eggs....3 over easy and 3 scrambled up then mix them togther. My favorite meal of the day.

Splenda was what I was planning on using. But the cinnamon, for sure I`m gonna try tonight. Can`t stop thinking of those cinnamon tost crunch cereals now...

Haha yeah that sounds strange to me to. I'm old fashioned. I like my eggs over easy with a top sirloin steak with a rub or scrambled with some cubed top sirloin and some onion and green pepper mixed in. Steak is always bbq'd first.

When I have them hardboiled I cut them in half and spray with zero cal becel butter spray and some cracked pepper.

I'm hungry now! lol

^^^ That`s what I did! Like I said, I had nothing to grease the pan with and melted peanut butter, I knew would work to grease up the pan. Barely even needed any. While I was eating the eggs, I`d dab a tiny bit to make it taste better. But man, I never thought I`d see the day where I`d say " I`m looking forward to eaing some eggs tongight", the cinnamon/splenda sounds so good right now!

I might be wrong.. but i'm pretty sure if those eggs are not pasteurized, your wasting your time drinking them. your body will only absorb half the protein or some shit like that.

I get bad stomach cramps now when I eat eggs by themselves, although I used to drink them raw? I have found a way to eat them again and digest them no problem, I add 6 whole O3 eggs to one pound of ground turkey breast like I was going to make really runny hamburger patties and fry. Sometimes I add broccoli or green beans as a sort of egg\turkey goulash.

A pro bodybuilder mod on another board said possibly the most rapid gains he ever had in his career were pre-AAS when he was 19 and started training with a Mr Universe competitor in '79 who told him to add 24 whole eggs per day to his normal diet. He would drink them raw. In 6 mths he gained 50lbs and added 50lbs to his bench. Must've got something from those eggs!

Ya he added the above comment when the raw eggs vs. cooked eggs absorption issue was being argued. I took his word for it & actually tried it for a short bulk. 24 whole eggs/day blended with coupled with cup or two vanilla soy milk, nutmeg & cinnamon. Maybe some splenda. Found that I craved it like suishi. Easy was to get calories for sure. I didn't do it long enough to reap the benefits but I know it was tasty!

Glad you guys are eating whole eggs, that's the way to go. I like to cook them though.

24 large whole eggs you're looking at around 150g of protein give or take and 1700-1800Kcals. I'm thinking about giving it a try but that's 168 eggs a week. I get them for free but someone would probably say something if they noticed me taking that many.

Maybe I'll try 10-12 Omega 3 eggs/day and see how that goes. Probably regular breakfast, 5-6 at 9:30 then another 5-6 at lunch with some other stuff.

Feel free to ask questions about eggs Big D, I may be able to help.

I use a coconut oil/ghee butter blend to grease then pan then 7 free range eggs and 2 cups of egg whites, then it's green onions and green peppers. I use that as 2 meals. Top with either, salsa, franks red hot sauce or o carb ketchup

I have been eating my eggs with salsa lately just to add more flavor. Not sure if I could eat them raw but they are my favorite food.
Might have to try the peanut butter here soon

I cooked 4 whole eggs with 1 tablespoon of splenda and 1/8 tsp of cinnamon. Absolutely amazing. I`m now hungry for this all the time! I`m gonna eat this for at least 1 meal per day for sure. It smells so good and acutally tastes like dessert and is so easy to eat. I think I might carry some in my pocket at work and eat it while I go to the bathroom.

When I get off this cutting diet I`m gonna eat these at will all day long!

are you maniacs mixing this in before cooking it or sprinkling it on afterward?

ubcpower
23-06-2010, 10:06 AM
i pour just the eggs in the pan (pre heated quite high heat) , hot enough so it cooks really fast, bout 1/2 way through the cookin process i add in the cinnamon and splenda , nearer to the end. and stir/scramble some more. It tastes better when its drier and flakey ...so i would assume the eggs are getting slightly over cooked.

Ritch
23-06-2010, 12:02 PM
I just add the cinnamon and splenda in the shaker and make the batter, then pour it in the pan and cook it up.

You guys think you could keep these at room temp for 6 hours plus and they`d still be good to eat?

ubcpower
23-06-2010, 12:55 PM
i make it at 6am and eat it around noon during lunch break.
Key thing is to leave it uncovered for a bit before you put in the tuperware so it cools and dries off. the drier the better. if you just cover it and put in fridge, when you open later there is all sorts of moisture and dew and shit all over the tuperware and eggs, kinda sick

How many eggs (whole vs whites) would you eat for breakfast when cutting?

ubcpower

alot of the guys do low carbs when cutting on this site, many do the palumbo diet, which has you eating atleast 5 whole eggs/day.
the palumbo keto diet is 5whole/4 white

A favourite meal of mine is 2 eggs scrambled and then when they come out of the pan into the bowl and are hot, I mix 1 tbsp of natural pb in them.

Years ago my then boyrfriend (now my ex-bf) suggested it to me. I was skeptical at first but tried it and it is now one of my favourite go-to quick meals.

I used to drink 4 eggs every morning in university, it was dirty, cheap and easy. I'd mix them with a splash of milk. I find now it rots me in half if I drink eggs. I find them way harder to eat in bulk than drinking though.

His cholesterol levels would have been through the roof. Not even close to healthy and just begging for a heart attack down the line.... Unless it was only using the Egg Whites only.
