Do you really need it, if you eat a big varitey of foods and oils and fish daily??

How many of you supplement with it? Do you recommend it?

How much fish and oils do you need to get the recommended daily intake of omega-3's??

I personally love the stuff. Ascenta brand makes a liquid version that makes it easier to get high amounts. I take 4 tablespoons a day. But that is an insanely high dose. Most people get 1-2 teaspoons a day.

For a good calculator by Robb Wolf (nutrition guru) check out http://whole9life.com/fish-oil/

Personally i take it for the anti-inflamattory use and also find my skin is better when on it.

If you could only take one supplement for health fish oil would be the top choice by most in the know I believe.

I take about 25g of omega 3s a day.
Back in the day we would have a 1:1:1 ration of 3,6,9s. Today, the average person gets almost no omega 3s, unless they eat a lot of fish of course.
I do it for health, not for fat loss or anything else, though it's a nice bonus.

I use NutraSea fish oil, I was instructed that it is very good stuff. I get it at Popeye's but I'm sure some of the sponsors here carry it

Fish oil is great if you dont get enough via....Grass fed beef, salmon, or other deep sea creatures.....You can get enough through diet, but it is tough......If you are taking an excess amnt of omega 3s, you should take an antioxident with them, extra vitaminc, e and reservatrol or something along those lines...

I'm currently taking Ultimate Fish Oil from Progressive, their recommendation is 3/day (one with every meal - breakfast/lunch/dinner). Then again, we eat more than 3 meals a day as weight lifters but I usually take it in the morning, afternoon, and with my PWO meal. Should I be taking more? As I see someone mentioned 6-8?

I take it to help maintain lower bf% plus its good for your heart and cardiovascular system. good for your skin, bones, teeth etc. I hate fish and don't eat alot of red meat (what I do eat probably isn't grass fed anyways), so supplimenting helps.
