It is a great city, with good folk.....Just dont be telling to many BBers they "are done", on machines or not squatting proper.....Tobans usually knock out, then question later!!:) ......Its my home young nephew....:goodluck
Watch for mosquitos, as they will haul you away, and store you in the underside of the goldenboys underwear pouch!!!
In all seriousness, talk to some people there, friendliest city i have ever lived in.....By far!!!
^^ Word uncle will.
Ill keep that in mind.

I remember my first experience in Winnipeg, I was there for a concert and we went to a liquor store downtown, there was a car with about 8 indians in it, old beater box 4 door Oldsmobile...... when we walked by with our liquor they called us "****ing honkeys" and drove away
I'll never forget that pleasant welcome

Yeah, even I still get called White Boy by our "real locals" Yet if I call them listerine drinker's, I'm the racist.

Call their girls Manitoba Hawaiins, or blueberry blondes....Thatll get em!!!!lolol
Lots of racism running both ways there!!!
Up North, white folk are a minority in many communities, it does build character ill tell ya!!!!!
Go live in The pas MB, and try and go to a bar without getting ganged up on, I get along with most people But there is a bit of an uneasy feeling walking into a house party, and you are alone, and everyone is drunk....The friend you had earlier in the day can turn on ya by night after a few drinks, and be your best buddy next day again...........Lived there for 4 years!! Helen Betty Osbourne days are still remembered...
Then again, same goes for lots of people when drunk.....lolol

Or when drunk!!!! But yes, when in a crowd, they are much more tough acting, and needing to prove something.....Alone, hard to get eye contact...

Be happy they didn't rob you, that's more common than being called names from them.
I got robbed by a gang of white guys once.
