why is dennis james so out of favour nowadays??

ive just been watching "bodybuilder"with dennis james and kinda got me remembering how good he was,thick and massive with good overall shape and he used to always do kinda well at the olympia but has fell outta favour lately and i cant even remember the last time i heard about him

I would guess it's his out of control gut. From the side he just can't suck it in any more.

but theres so many others have that problem but do well(i saw jay and phil heath at a convention 2 weeks ago and i was amazed at the size of there guts),i often wonder why some bodybuilders fall out of favour so quick,i used to like troy alves but he just kinda went off the map aswell

Dennis was the guest poser at the Emerald Cup in Seattle this year. He looked pretty round but he can't be too far out of favour if he is still doing guest posing, etc.

I always thought that Dennis looked unbeatable in gym shots. The guy had the best tank-top physique around...but when he got on stage it was just never quite the same. His last win -- Tampa Bay in 09 was at the expense of Fouad who definitely should have won the show.

cause there;s about 8 guys who are better than he is currently and yes that includes cutler and branch with their guts.

i just looked at his record and with the exception he didnt do last olympia,he hasnt been out of the top 10 since 2000,so i guess he aint that outta favour as i originally thought.you just dont hear much about the guy like you used to.on this dvd his hams are siiiiiiiiiick!!!
