What to do before obtaining PT certification.

I'm going to be ordering my Can-Fit-Pro package ASAP and hopefully obtain it by the end of this year, once I'm 18 (August) I'll also be ordering the NASM package to try for that one as well. I've been told that in order to officially be certified you must have a basic theory course completed prior to your PT certification ? Is this true ? What else must I do before I get certified ?

when you buy can-fit pro you get a basic 4 days theory course, then you do an easy theory test and after a practical test. Its a shit certification and you wont learn anything. I have it, and i don't agree with everything in the book except the anatomy part.

NASM is probably better

I took the Can-Fit Pro course and never bothered with the exam. It's bull shit. All the fat, out of shape, think they know it all, wanna be personal trainers at Goodlife have it though, so it must be good.

I was really only getting it for prep FOR NASM since I can't get it yet, but if it's this frowned upon maybe I won't.
