If I develop gyno and remove the glands with surgery, can gyno return afterwards? Any experience with people who have had gyno surgery?

Seems kinda silly, people who have their apendix out dont worry about it growing back do they? Once its gone its gone.

yes. sometime they dont take the whole thing out. they leave a bit in keep a proper chest shape/conture or whatever. and yes, i hear it can start growing again.

so yes, the best idea so get the whole fuking thing taken out IMO. im not sure if the surgeon gives you a choice tho.

The "best" idea is to talk with your plastic surgeon.

From what I understand you need to leave some of the gland in otherwise your nipples will be sunken in and look weird. I have no personal experience though so, who knows.

I had the surgery last summer, not something I talk about alot however I know that it can come back but very unlikely and you will never have a "perfect" chest so if u have the money do it also my right is a little bigger than my left not sure why the surgeon did that but like someone already posted to keep the nipples balanced. He said that I could be back at the gym within 3 weeks , yea more like 8

Exactly!! And be upfront about steroid use as well. You don't want to shield yourself from a small lecture and invite another $4000 bill for touch ups.

i dont understand why they insist on leaving some of that sht in so it can come back.

they should just take the whole fuking thing out and put in a small inorganic implant or something if they to alter the shape slightly.

is there something im missing here? mind=blown.

Gyno most certainly can come back after surgery. I recently had the surgery - bilateral excision. The surgeon told me it is IMPOSSIBLE to remove all of the breast tissue without a complete mastectomy. He also told me that if they remove too much breast tissue it will leave an indent and the nipple itself may actually die and need to be removed which in his words would look "absolutely absurd". I have also read many threads from ppl who have had the surgury, ran a cycle without an AI, and had gyno return and have to have a second surgery.

When they do the gyno surgery do they remove the fat also? I've seen some things stating that OHIP doesn't cover that.

My glands were removed. No probs with a sunk in look. No return of gyno but at HRT dosages I wouldn't expect it to come back either.

Get a proper surgeon were you pay for the surgery and this is his deparment, he will take out all the gland you won't get the sunken look. Kind of like shopping for a car, you get what you pay for ;)

Scroll halfway down this link and look at Dr Fielding, he works out of St Joseph's. He did mine. I only paid for the lipo , not the excision of the gyno. I thin k the whole deal cost me about $1100 about five years ago. Did a great job, nice guy too. gynecomastia.org/smf/19/bluewater-surgery-(ontario)

That's him. I think he goes by a case by case basis as far as removal of the gland. He removed mine and did lypo. I had the other glad removed by a different doctor who also did an excellent job but retired years ago. I guess it depends on how bad your gyno is.
