Hey guys, been couple orders im getting from you, so this means I like your products, but I have a couple questions, and since your new in the buisiness, it's normal for a customer like me to want to make sure that he is getting the best quality of products ( not saying your not selling best quality products )

Here is my question.
I've ordered 3 flavors of protein , all isolate. Chocolate , Choco&Peanutbutter and Vanilla . I find they are pretty sweet for isolate protein and so does my friends. Also, the vanilla protein is a bit grainy compared to the other flavors which are really soft powder ( i dont know the exact word, but i'm sure you understand ) . When I drink my Vanilla Isolate protein, mixed with water, I see particles that looks like sugar, just wanted to know what it is, cause it's sweet.

Thanks alot for taking the time to answer my questions :)

Sure bud, simply has to do with how much sweetener we put in it...we bumped it up by about 0.5% to see if our customers like that a little better. Lots of customers have said that they want our products to be stronger and not so week and sweeter so we're still experimenting with flavoring and sweetener. Unfortunately, where finding that when we do this, people come back and say it's too sweet...so we're finding that we can't please everyone obviously and that it might be better to reduce the sweetener and flavoring so it's not as strong because stronger tasting products are easier to get sick of. As for grainy particles, not sure what you mean by that, when I make a shake I'll use vanilla and I'll check it out today. Are you sure you're not talking about chocolate being grainy in texture? I know it's not sugar..lol.

In fact, typically if a company were to cut their protein it would be with something like maltodextrin and maltodextrin is actually bland and not really sweet in taste like table sugar would be which is what I'm thinking you mean.

Thx for taking the time to answer my questions bro.
When Im talking about grainy particules, Im talking about the vanilla protein powder, which isnt disolved in the water yet. Lets say the choco powder seems more soft and refined and the vanilla powder is more grainy and more sweet than the others.

Ok, I see what you mean, a lot may also have to do with different manufacturers, some protein is more granular than others while others may be more fluffy and have different bulk densities. Taste may even vary a bit from different manufacturers. This may be what you're speaking of. As for the difference in sweetness, we have added a slight bit more sweeter and flavoring in order to enhance taste and make it stronger as some have said that they would prefer something more strong, however, a lot are saying they prefer how it was. Maybe this is the difference you're speaking of.

Yea bro thats what I'm talking about. But the quality of the protein is the same no matter how the powder is ? Fluffy or granular? Thanks bro!
I like the addition of the sweetener ;)

I hope you didn't screw with the chocolate. If you did I'll be hearing about it for the next 2 months.

If it's not sweet enough I can add stuff but if you over sweeten it I can't take it out.

lol, it was actually only the vanilla and strawberry for now because we were getting requests to make it a little sweeter. However, now people are saying they liked it how it was so we'll probably going back even though it was such a small amount. I suppose some are very receptive.

Your post made me laugh...I love the chocolate too bro, don't worry about that flavour! :D

With the strawberry I wouldn't cry if you played with the flavour formula a bit. I don't think sweetness is the fix even though it's the easiest thing to play with. I would say that the strawberry tastes a little fake. The vanilla is pretty bang on. Making vanilla too strong is great for 1 shake but sucks after the 20th one. The chocolate is the best of the 3 but I like to alternate flavours so I don't learn to hate any of them.

That's the challenge with making a single taste test compelling. What tastes great once is usually tiring by the time you get to the end of 5 or 10 pounds. A little subtlety and matching real flavours is my personal preference.

You're bang on tiramisu, we're finding that the people may want the stronger tastes, but when faced with 5lbs. of a stronger tasting/sweeter product it gets difficult to stomach. We also have to try to appeal to the masses and in general, it seams that the masses would rather has something a little less strong so they can consume it for extended periods of time without getting sick of it.
