So does placing top 3 at the Provincials qualify a person for two years or the following two Canadians?

it only qualifies you the the candians the same year, not the next yr

Well our rules (FCPAQ) specifically say you get a run that year and the next like Ironwill and Nate said.

In Ontario starting this year top 5 qualify you for 2 canadians. Our provincials is before the canadas so you would be qualified that year and the next. Class winners get extra byes...yay for me.

Top 5? Nice, thought it was still top 3. This change is part of the switch to the two tier system??

Starting this year 2010 the top 5 qualify for the Nationals in the year that you competed or the following year.

Does anyone know exactly where this info is posted, about qualifying to compete nationally? I looked on my own provincial site and didn't see much. I looked at the cbbf.ca site and couldn't find it there either. I know it differs from province to province but I'd heard that an overall win is a lifetime pass, a 1st place in weight class is a 2 year pass, and 2nd or 3rd place is just a pass for that same year. Didn't sound quite right..?

If you go to the website for this year's nationals, it spells it all out. Lifetime bye for over-all!

Doesn't the over-all win a pro-card and is then ineligible?

I think she meant that each overall winner in the provincials get lifetime byes.

In BC only the first place finisher qualifies for 2 years, 2nd and 3rd are outta luck, they have to compete the year of.
