this is a example of a keto diet, all meals should be spaced out 2-3 hours

For a 130lb+ Female

MEAL #1
2 whole (OMEGA-3) Eggs with 6 egg whites

MEAL #2
35g Whey protein Isolate with 1 tablespoon all natural peanut butter

MEAL #3
6oz chicken (ostrich, or turkey) with 1/4-cup (1oz) cashew nuts, or almonds, or walnuts (vary it)

MEAL #4
5oz salmon, swordfish, or RED MEAT with a green salad (no tomatoes, red peppers, or carrots) with 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil or Mac Nut Oil and vinegar

MEAL #5
35g Whey Protein Isolate with 1 tablespoon all natural peanut butter or 2 whole (OMEGA-3) EGGS with 6 whites

**** You should have a cheat meal once per week (in place of meal #5).

you could also maybe try avocadoes for fats, they are good, but in moderation of course. It is very little food LOL....

I am 150ish and when I do keto I am starving after 3 days, the first 3 days piece of cake, but I lift and do some crazy cardio/endurance training that I burn my calories just by lifting my bottle of xtend.

then again I don't do any greens either for a few days. I usually yeah so its not so KETO lol.. carb up on fridays/saturdays in moderation of course as I train strongman so need the fuel.

I also use fat free cottage cheese in my diet,
1st week on my keto diet I lost 3 pounds, I respond very quickly, now if I could just stick with it :ilu I love to eat!

If you are doing high intensity endurance training you should not be running keto...ketone bodies are too slow of a fuel source and youll end up converting amino acids (muscle) into glucose via gluconeogenesis and a loss of muscle will result. On a keto diet you need to keep your heart rate below 130bpm approx...stay in the fat burning zone. If you are using cottage cheese etc its not keto anyways. If you run a true keto diet you will feel better after 3 days, less hungery, better focus, more energy....not less.

You can replace them with 1 tspn olive/almond oil and add some green veggies as you need trace carbs.

I believe I mentioned its not really KETO :) - atleast for a few days I do the proteins/goodfats 6 meals a days, every 2-3 hours. Then Fridays I add complex carbs for endurance training,

Cottage cheese, no good? the label only had 2 grams carbs and its 2 grams of sugars? Again, not full blown Keto (semi keto shall we call it) just trying to lean down a tad and carb up on the days where my endurance/cardio training kicks in. Typically train strongman on saturdays so I need this energy.

I respond quick but I think everyone is different, I've actually been my leanest with good moderated carbs in atleast 4 meals a day, strange, but that was when I was prepping for bodybuilding.

I haven't noticed much muscle loss, on the contraire I've put on some decent size.

But thanks for the info!

Let me ask you though? would you recommend someone like the starter of this post do KETO? its pretty extreme I think for someone who may (forgive me if I am wrong) be looking to get started and get advice for a food schedule?
I know alot of bodybuilders who do KETO and do well ;)

Calories (or Kilocalories/Kcals) are a unit of energy. You would express it as 767 Kcals or 767 Calories (with a capital).

Not a big deal, just semantics.

Track your caloric intake over the whole day. It will take at least a couple weeks to see how your intake compares with your BMR + activity. A lot of diet design depends on how much weight you want to lose and how quickly.
