PHENIBUT allowed into Canada?

I want to order some phenibut from bodybuilding.com. It seems SNS Phenibut is about the only brand that has had good reviews.

Will it be allowed through Canada customs?

Please let me know if you've ordered it from the states recently.

If you get it online from within Canada, please tell me where!

So, people are looking at my original post, but no one is responding.

Doesn't anyone use phenibut anymore?

I posted the same question in the Bodybuilding Supplements forum, and somebody replied that phenibut is illegal. Then, a moderator locked my post.

Is Phenibut really illegal in Canada?

Both bodybuilding.com and iherb.com have lists of products which they will not ship to Canada. Phenibut is not included in their lists.

I wanted to make sure. So I called CBSA, and they transferred me to Health Canada Inspectorate. A "compliance specialist" told me that phenibut is not a natural health product. Therefore it is not allowed to be imported. But, she also told me that 5-HTP IS ALLOWED. iHerb says that 5-HTP is not allowed to be imported. Who's right?

I asked the "compliance specialist" if I could see the info that she was looking at. She pointed me to Health Canada's Natural Health Products Ingredients Database: http://bit.ly/aRvMbM

Sure enough, the database says that phenibut is not a naturally occurring substance.

But, a page http://bit.ly/clz5RO in the Health Canada website says the following:

"Drugs, including natural health products (NHPs), other than controlled substances, Class A precursors, or substances listed in Schedule F, may be imported by mail, by courier, or in person..."

Phenibut is not a naturally occurring substance. But it is not a controlled substance, a Class A precursor, or a substance listed in Schedule F.

So, why is phenibut not allowed to be imported? Just because it is not a naturally occurring substance? Contradictions abound.

In the end, whatever anybody says, the buck stops at customs.

So, I ask again:

What have been your experiences trying to import phenibut from the US via mail or courier?
