New to this board been lifting for almost 17yrs and posting on boards for about 10yrs.

Competed from 2000-2004 in the Ottawa/Outaouais region as a middleweight.

After my last show I decided to try to find a better balance in my life. Until then bodybuilding had been a priority for many years and I had put a lot more in then what I was getting out of it. Every time I competed I felt like the sport owed me a win for all that I had sacrificed. he he he

Over the last few years I have focused on advancing my career, buying a house, improving my marriage, becoming a father and becoming a balanced person. In the mean time I stayed the same weight but lost a lot of muscle and gained a lot of fat.

About 8-9 months ago I decided to start dieting and training more seriously again but this time in order to be a healthy father, live a long life and be there for my son when he is older and raising his kids. The goal was to get lean and healthy and maintain that naturally.

Well something happened, I started training DC style and following a clean diet 5 days per week with refeeds on the weekend and after a few months I was shocked how favorably my body responded. It bit me again that damn bodybuilding bug.

I know I don't have what it takes to be a successful bodybuilder but I love the game, anybody that has competed knows what this means. I am thinking of doing a natural show sometime next summer.

I know what the score is now and I am not looking to win anything just trying to beat me.

I am a bit obsessive compulsive and have read probably 30-40 bodybuilding & nutrition books as well as spent hundreds of hours reading medical studies on medline related to resistance training, protein synthesis, overfeeding, fat loss, supplements, etc...

I may not have the best physique but I have done a lot of research and studying and I know a lot of shit. I have done a lot of trial and error with myself and others and helped prep a few friends in person and online. I also used to be a moderator on a bunch of bodybuilding boards including a Contest Prep forum.

You know what they say the worst athletes make the best coaches. ;)

This looks like a great site and I am looking forward to learning and contributing with my fellow canucks!
