Hi All,
I just got my bloodwork back and my estradiol levels are High. Am on HCG 0.4CC for HRT 3X a week (Mon, Wed, and Fri)
Estradiol - 17 Beta Range is 43 - 151 pmol
Mine is 200 pmol.
For the last two months I have been dieting and exercising and lost 20lbs, still 30 more to lose but am not giving up. Dr. said Estradiol was only slightly high and he will keep an eye on it.
Can anyone suggest any over the counter supplements I can take to reduce estrogen or which prescription Aromatase Inhibitor would be beneficial without too much side effects?
Thank you all for your responses.

I am not an expert, but I have had good success with aromasin (prescrip). When I have got nipple soreness taking test (HRT) it helped almost immediately. It attaches to the estrogen and basically kills it (to keep it simple). Some foods cause extra estrogen as does alcohol. Do some searches on this board (noveldex, aromasin, tomoxifen, etc) and see what people say. Good luck!

its not too bad for 90 tabs you get a discount, if you have insurance its much better.

I disagree. There is a biiiig diff when it comes to pharma grade AI and UG stuff I've found.
thats what this stuff costs at pharmacies and why it's good to have coverage.

Ever since I saw bushidobadboy on t-nation expose much the pharm companies make on products I don`t buy into the whole justification of pharm prices. Modafanil was broken down and shown that the pharm companies make 5000% profit off this one drug alone. The 5000% is no typo. He has a source in China and layed out the math. I`d also be willing to bet the pharm companies get the raws for less than the source he has as they buy bigger batches of them.
So 5000 is actually a conservative number. I wouldn`t be surprised if stuff like aromasin is that far off in terms of profits. So that`s why I believe real aromasin can be bought for much less. You can even buy the stuff from overseas pharmacies for a fraction of what they ask here.
So for sure the pharm stuff is spot on dosage wise, made in sterile environments and such and the ug stuff can be a little off, but no way in hell are the price differences justified. Even if the ug stuff was underdosed by 25 or even 50% it still is the best buy. May just take a little experimentation to get your dose right.

Thanks for your reply everyone however am not sure if am ready to go the prescription route yet, I would like to know if anyone used I3C or DIM and if it was successful at lowering estrogen levels? Also does anyone know if the Estradiol test here is the same as the E2 test offered in the USA? Is there the E2 Test here in Canada, if so how do you go about getting it?

if UGL's offered sterile needles and pins at a fraction of the price as brand name products you buy at the pharmacy would you buy (and trust) the UGL or would you continue to buy from the pharmacy?
raw product isn't the only part that goes into the cost of a finished product.
I'm not saying I agree with the high price tag for pharma grade products but I certainly agree with it a lot more than I do UGL pricing considering the only investment they have is in the raw products. There's no liability insurance (which is huge); no research costs; costs of operating a sterile environment; raw material testing (to ensure what they're buying is real); accreditation costs; etc; etc; etc.

Since needles are dirt cheap, for sure I`d buy the pharm ones, lol... And would much rather use human grade gear and if I use again, it will be human or vet grade propionate. The ug stuff I did last summer did not overly impress me. Strong enough to suppress me, but very "meh" in the gains department. But would use ug ancillaries again.
Good points on the cost though of pharm stuff.

Also keep in mind that for every drug that makes it there are 100's if not 1000's that don't.
Did a quick google search and this is out of a paper published in 2007: "The cost to bring a new drug to market in 2007 will exceed $1.3B, and it will have taken 16 years to move from inception to market."
They have to make all that money back, mainly before the patent runs out.
