So I was just thinking about picking one up. Went on e-bay and they are not a bad price ( $10-$25 ). I've never used one so I'm not sure how they will hold up . Is this something that will break after a few tries ?

Has anyone here ever used one or have one ?

I'm thinking more so for Almonds or Pecans or whatever . Natural PB isin't that expensive so I don't mind buying that from the store, but when you start getting into almond butter or some of those other butters that can get a bit more expensive.

just a plain old blender should work fine

Really ?

I would find that to be a pain in the ass and would prob have to add some oil in order to make it blend properly.

I've made hummus before and I find that even crushing chick peas is a pain and I've even burnt one out before because I didn't have the patience.

As for nut butter I wouldn't want to add anything other than the nuts and therefore running the risk of burning out the motor ( like I have done in the past )

you'd be suprised on how much oil is actually in the nut itself
