From True Protein:
True Protein’s Hydrolyzed Whey Protein High Grade is derived from sweet dairy whey. Hydrolyzed Whey is enzymatically partially digested protein. This hydrolyzing process splits proteins in to smaller chain peptides and amino acids, di and tri peptides. This in turn makes the end product more biologically accessible to the user. Hydrolyzed whey is the most digestible source of whey protein. This process of hydrolysis allows the protein to be absorbed quickly through the small intestine.

More than half (up to 80%) of the protein ingested bypasses the stomach and is absorbed into the small intestine, allowing the greatest potential for lean muscle tissue. Studies have also shown that hydrolyzed proteins with short chain amino acids (di and tri peptides) can increase IGF-1.

Our Hydrolyzed Whey Protein possesses a very bitter taste; basically the more the protein is digested or hydrolyzed the more bitter it becomes. We at True Protein recommend not going over 25% Hydrolyzed Whey Protein High Grade in the Custom Mix Generator available on the site.

Warning with our High Grade, this protein possesses a very bitter taste, that is definitely not for the faint at heart. You may want to order this separately to gauge how much you are effected by the taste. But remember, the benefits far out way the 2 minutes of the bad taste in your mouth.

Stuff is 11 bucks a pound for high grade (tastes like shit) or 18 bucks a pound for ultra grade (tastes alright)... anyone use this stuff??

I only bought Pepto Pro from True Protein. which is hydralized casein. it is just a touch bitter but supposed to be very good. Dante , owner of True Protein and Massive G who is affiliated with them use Pepto Pro in their shakes as their protein supplement.

Ive used it as a chocolate, cocnut blend, i didnt find the taste bad at all.......I am going to do a good run of it exclusively on my next blast phase to see if there is a difference, i dont know what im expecting, but i guess we shall see..The biggest thing for me is ability to digest well.......I will let you know when i do it in about 5 weeks...

Hydrolyzed whey tastes like gasoline and the absorb-ability is not much different than a pure whey isolate. Essentially, once a whey isolate is produced using advanced filtering technologies, the protein is then subjected to digestive enzymes that cleave the isolate into what's known as hydrosylate products. If, however, you use a quality whey isolate you'll get the same or better as far as quality and absorb-ability is concerned, with a much better taste.

$18 lb is just silly. What's the point of using it when you can buy the highest quality whole foods for less? And no, I don't believe for a second it's a much better protein source that's going to provide better gains. Freakin smoke and mirrors. IGF 1 stimulation be damned.

Im not a scientist, but i know how i feel when on certain products, and to be honest, i didnt feel anything different.....But ill give it a whirl as i enjoy trying things out to see if theres anything behind the hoopla....lol....Again not expecting much, not sure what its all about......BUT, the flavored stuff didnt kill my tastebuds as im reading others observations......I used the 11 dollar/lb version...
