I'm at a loss for words here everyone. But in the end I'm sure I'll be typing a book in this thread. I have been holding off doing this thread, maybe because I was afraid secretly that I would fail at this attempt of a comeback, get hurt or seriously sick. I think like a man, I'm a serious planner and sometimes overly cautious. I don't wing nothing. But I've made it..I'm only 5 days out and ready baby!
Many of you know my history, Ontario Masters Champion Bodybuilder in 05, I went on to do Nationals and had my ass handed to me. Then when I was prepping for Provincials and Nationals again, (I had to re-qualify to do Nationals.) I broke a rib in my back while lifting 55 lb dumb bells on incline bench which put me in bed for many months. Tons of misdiagnosis and other issues kept me from training very hard or very much.
Last year I became a single mom after a 25 yr marriage and needed something in my life again. I was devastated but saw it as a chance to remake ME, a chance to not only being his trophy wife. I"m so fricken happy now and it's because I took the opportunity to run from a marriage to someone I was afraid of.
At our boy Tavs urging I decided it was time to come out of retirement and give Figure a try. My body was looking it's age imo and so was my face. I turned 53 during this 5 month prep. My sagging jawls has toned up and my body gets looks again from 25 yr olds.
I chose to diet down for 5 months because i wanted to diet very slowly. (Cheat alot. LOL) I started dating this fall and it was really hard at times to say I want water and a salad please. I'm one of those who gains muscle while dieting and training hard. And I believe I did, but I ended up loosing it this past month of harder dieting.
These before pics were taken by my fabulous dependable work out partner, Ashley. Ash is Tavs girl friend, I needed someone who would be ready and willing when ever to go and she has been the best.
I wished we had dated the photos but I'm thinking the green frumpy bikini pics were in Feb when I had 37 inch hips, the black ones in March at 35 and the new blue bling ones were a few weeks ago.
I'm 37-25-33 today at 5 ft 5 and I'm 117. Hope that if your at the show you'll say Hey Momma! xo
