That's ufc 8. Where it took 4 fights to win the night. Not one like now. These guys were the toughest in the game imo. Now it's more technical but before it was tons of heart.

I LOVE UFC 8. Frye was just a monster that night. Frye vs. Ramirez and Goodridge vs. Herrera from the first round are two totally sick knockouts. I can still see both of them in my mind's eye as I'm typing this.

I dont think they will ever sanction multiple fights like that eer again, not that MMA is now so highly regulated.

YAMMA turned out to not be very much fun at all. More or less three hours of old and out of shape heavyweights leaning on each other. Even though I am pretty much an old and out of shape heavyweight myself (not a heavyweight fighter, mind you, just a heavyweight guy)... that wasn't too interesting to watch.
