Hey everyone, back again.

I originally was going to do the NSABBA contest on April 10th, but pulled out two weeks shy.

Stats

6'3
203lbs (April 30th)
BF%?

Been working out seriously for just over a year now (March 09). Was dialed in for the NSABBA show and when I pulled out I went on a 7 Day binge and went from 200lbs to 226lbs in a week!

Lost the abs and felt like crap for being a wuss and dropping out of the show and decided to get back at it and suck it up.I have been back on it now for 3 weeks straight and am just about where I think I need to be.

Was on a keto diet before and with advice from a bodyspace friend and seasoned competitor decided to reintroduce carbs back into the diet and after 3 weeks I think it was a good idea.

Eating 1700 Calories a day

250g Protein, 100g Carbs and 25g Fat.

Every 5 days I up the carbs to 350g and lower protein accordingly.

Day 1 - Chest, Abs
Day 2 - Back and Hams
Day 3 - Arms, Abs
Day 4 - Shoulders, Traps
Day 5 - Legs
Rest - (Still do cardio and abs)
Repeat.

I am doing 30mins LISS cardio in the morning
and;
30mins PWO.

Taking Multi, EFA's, Tribulus, Chromium Picolinate, Creatine, L-Argnine, and Beta Alanine.
as well as
ECA stack first thing in the morning and preworkout.

Dosed at 25mg Ephedrine, 200mg Caffeine, 175mg Asprin.

Batteries charging, pictures tomorrow.

Here a a few shots I took last night after a refeed.

Protein - 210g

Carbs - 300g

Fats - 30g

Back to original diet today as listed above. Today is my day off, other than my 30mins of LISS morning cardio and Abs, and 30mins PWO cardio tonight.

Any thought or opinions would be great.

BUMP, anyone have any thoughts on final week prep.

Was wondering if 1 day of slowly carbing up (Friday Morning) is too late?

The show is 1pm on Saturday.

there could be a reason no one will help you:

1) You quit last time due to nothing more than being afraid to get up there against people who may or may not be bigger/better than you

2) You only come around here when you want/need something.

If you want to be part of this community and receive help then stay, participate and you'll be rewarded in kind. If all you want is to take from this community then hire someone to help you.

I will not offer up advice based on the 2 reasons above. Hopefully someone else will help out though.

If all else fails... don't do anything. Stick with the plan that you've been on and at least you know you can't/won't **** it up.

Well I am pretty inexperienced so giving advice would just be dumb, all I can do is give encouraging words. I know people enjoying reading logs, so I posted.

Started carb depletion today and depletion workouts. Going to start reducing sodium on Wednesday and cut back on the water Friday night after weigh in's at 7:30pm.

Looking grreat for a natty. Best of luck to you brotha and good last week plan. I think you will do well. Your conditioning is good, your proportion of upper to lower is good. 6 more days its the home stretch now.

Thanks a lot bro, I can't believe how much I am tightening up in the last 2 days with the depletion workouts and low low carbs. Feel like I have made more progress in the last 2 days then in 2 weeks.

Do you think carbing up Friday morning until Saturday at 1pm is too short?

I am doing it very moderately with sweet potatoes and chicken breasts so nothing can really go a rye. As long as I keep the water low on show day, should be dry I figure.

You got it do exactly as you sed and you will be dry and full up.

Awesome man, by the way your avatar picture is dope. Your back in nice and grainy.

Cooking 1.5kg of sweet potatoes right now aka 350g carbs.

Got 1.5kg of fresh Turkey and Chicken Breast cooked as well.

From Friday morning until Friday night nothing but the above for 7 meals.

Each meal 30g Pro, 50g carbs and fat only from the chicken and turkey.

Going to drink 3 liters of water through out Friday and just sip on Saturday.

Eat the same thing Saturday or maybe Egg Whites and Oatmeal, no artifical sweetners on show day.

You should be drinking 6l of water and once you drop it friday night, drink nothing till after the show.

steve_d
13-05-2010, 02:42 PM
^agreed. If you only drink 3 litres friday, you're basically tapering. Unless say you drank tuns of water all night and then the 3 litres was early friday morning, and then cut. Then I guess it wasn't really tappered (just cut a little earlier than ideal). The only time i would cut water that early would be if you are drastically trying to make a weight class. I've made weight classes and then drank 4 litres of water on the spot to make sure I didn't shrivel up by the time i hit stage. you'd be surprised how fast 4 litres will come and go once you're all sodium depleted.

Hugheser

Right now I am sitting in my room waiting to hit the stage at the show.

At 10am I am dry, hard and fell pretty full. Very thirsty. Drank 4L yesterday and cut it completely last night at 10pm. Just sipping a black coffee right now and took 3 taraxtone when I woke up. Like I have been doing twice a day for the last 4 days. 3 in the morning and 3 at night.

Ate a sweet potatoe and chicken breast every 2.5hr yesterday right to bedtime. 7 meals.

Same breakfast and just had some protein powder and peanut butter to get some taste in my mouth. Plus a guy in the lobby told me that you cannot properly carb load with out fats and that it will pull water to the muscle when I start eating the fast digesting carbs.

Going to have one more serving of sweet potatoes in about an hour or so, depending how I feel.

Then Honey and Sour Patch kids right before I hit the stage.

Will throw up some pics sometime this weekend. Thanks for the advice guys. Finally after 5 months I will be getting my ass on stage.

PS. I am 186lbs, WTF? Weighed this much in grade 10!

Well it was everything I thought it would be and more. Was the 2nd smallest heavyweight on stage and coincidentally took home 2nd place haha. I had no problem taking home #2 next the first place guy. I was very surprised getting the first call out, then when they called out the top 5 my number was last and when they were making there way down from 5-1 I just couldn't believe it. Felt like a dream! Was totally surreal and now hungrier than ever after taking 2nd. Going to take a week off the gym and eat what I want and start building a lean mass strength gain program and get these weights back to at least where the were. Got a million pictures from a friends camera will throw on a bunch now.

Thanks for the props guys and gals.

The guy who took first was the man, real humble, he was to immediate left. They moved me from the outside to the middle next to him off the bat.

Sorry for the fruity ones at the end but my sister made the Komono and shorts for me and wanted to make sure she got to see the shots

Thanks a lot.

Should have taken it a little easier after the show. Ate way too much too quickly for the last 2 days and gained 30lbs already. Backs of my knees swelled up and got "cankles" as well. Abs gone and all the protan started to crack from expanding so much. Look terrible, but boy did it ever feel good. Back to normal today, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches back on the menu.

HAHAHA how many times do we here this. At one time or another we all did it. I did it, my buddy right now is going through it. Its just hilarious cuz we all say were going to reintroduce carbs slow and were so happy and loving it we blow up. too funny man.

Thanks DK, the guy who won had some real dense muscle and wasn't holding any water. I couldn't tell until I saw the pictures, but his real problem was his posing I think.

I just wanted to say that last night I hit 236lbs. That is 49lbs in 3 days! I cannot believe this is possible, can barley bend my knees and my feet don't even fit properly in my work boots. All the protan and dreamtan has cracked and looks like I have stretch marks all over my body from head to toe.

I got back on the diet this morning, almost the same as precontest but a cup of oatmeal instead of 1/4 of a cup and took a diuretic to get rid of this terrible feeling. I will never do this again!

(eat like a pig after the show that is)

ps. How long should it take to get rid of this awful bloat?

steve_d
18-05-2010, 10:50 AM
depends if you continue to eat a little bad here and there or not. You're used to dieting / cardio...Rebound can be bad. I would just drink alot of water and cut out carbs for a while and slowly re-introduce them.

holy crap bro i thought me gaining 27 lbs in 7 days was bad 49 can't even imagine, now i wasn't as carb or water depleted as you but i lost 22 lbs in about 6 days afterwards when i dropped my carbs low again so im sure you will loose it quick.

I am going to go right back on the contest diet tomorrow. This is getting ridiculous. Don't have any definition anymore, my legs have swollen to the point I can't even bend over and feels like they are going to split apart.

Cutting carbs completely, I feel terrible!

Will NEVER do this again!

bigtavi8

Dont panic and cut back to a crazy diet my brotha. Just calm down now cuz youve had your fun and filled up. Get the contest diet you had and add 30g carbs to every meal. (ex. 2/3 cup raw oats) or 3/4 cup brown rice. Dont cut carbs just add them in real real slow. I blew up too but its only temporary but it hurts the mind cuz you end up looking real soft. Your body needs to recover so dont go 0 carbs and cardio off the hook. Relax and let the carbs come back very slow and youll be happy you did.

19-05-2010, 01:22 PM
Okay that's what I'll do. I decided to take a week of the gym and stop all stimulants and cycled off creatine as well.

I am dying to get back at it but still can't bend in the knees properly, looks like elephantiasis. I was just wondering how long that will take with a modest diet.

that has got to be the most weight gain i've heard of post show...49 pounds! I remember when I was younger, I went from 140 on stage to about 175 in 2-3 days and thought that was bad....but wow!

I almost want to see pics of it! you should take pics now, diet for a week, and do a before and after...."I lost 50 pounds in 4 days taking X" and send it to a supplement company, lol.

Hugheser
20-05-2010, 11:28 AM
Yeah I really should have or looked into the Guinness Book of World Records for weight gain in X amount of time.

I cleaned up the diet, no deserts and elevated my legs last night while I slept and took some of the bloat out of them.

Was 215lbs this morning after running back and forth to the bathroom all night. Was 204lbs 2 weeks before the show so will probably try to get back to that in the next couple days and then back to the gym. Still can't wear socks, as they put a divot in my calve and cut of circulation ha ha.

Just looking over your thread now. You did great and should be very happy with what you accomplished. Good on yah bro! I know about the post contest elephantiasis thing, I had it. I actually live with it every day. I have elephantiasis of the penis. LMAO!!!!!!!!! But no seriously, it does suck, and am glad you got through it ok. Keep posting up your progress! Stay healthy, eat hard, train hard, and WALK HARD!! :D

This is a 4 weeks post contest photo. Not exactly lean mass gains!

Id have to see a pic of your front, but there is no way that even looks close to 50 pounds of fat/water/muscle. I think if that's all the fat you've gained, be proud.

I think I see more difference from weigh in to 5 days later, and I haven't even really gained more than a few pounds of water/fat so far.

In the picture of before that was 2 weeks out I think and I was 202lbs

I'll snap a picture tomorrow from the front. Sitting at 247lbs this morning. Ankles still look like Kankles but I am lifting more than ever already. Especially in the squat.

The parts of my body other than the obvious gut, which has filled out the most is my arms, shoulders and traps. Everywhere else the definition is gonzo.
