Anyone got one which they would recommend? The only real feature that it has to have is to be able to sync up to like a chest heart beat strap. And not sure if this possible on treadmills but to adjust to keep the heart rate at a certain number. I know on the bikes in my gym it was able to do it. Like on a fat burn program or something

That opens it up to a pretty huge number of treadmills that can offer that. Some treadmills and heartrate straps don't talk to each other. Of course if you buy the treadmill with the strap to go with it you're all set. But that strap may not work at your gym.

You could buy a treadmill from Sears or something for as little as $600 that would do what you want but you get what you pay for.

I've been stung with garbage treadmills that were a complete waste of money in the past that broke down (motherboards etc) steady at $2,000++ a crack.

Basically if you have the money and want quality you want a Landice or a Life Fitness. But they're pricey. There are others that are cheaper and 1/2 decent too. the market is huge. Find a reputable store that will talk honestly and help educate you.

DO NOT BUY FROM EBAY

Not sure if that's a product carried by canadian Tire or Sears? Don't think I have any experience with them but heard of them for sure. Looks like a hell of a discount. Also says not available for purchase at this time...??? Good luck hope it runs good for you.

i have an endurance (body solid) tread, that is OK
certainly not the best one out there but it does everything i need it to do
it broke down on me a while back but when i finally got it fixed, all parts were free as they are warrantied for life. (new motherboard and lift motor in this case)
so although not perfect, i'd buy another endurance product as it was a hassle free fix and i wasn't stuck with a 250lb clothes rack.

i find it easier to maintain a target heart rate on my bike though

Yupp went with a nordic track and getting it shipped for free with a free chest strap heart rate sensor. So hopefully it gets here sooner than later. I heard their customer support isnt the greatest.

I have a Vision Fitness as well. It's logged alot of miles. I did have to replace the board & track not sure if I wasn't waxing properly or it just wore with use.

I also have a Landice L8 that I got used from a gym with a new track & board. It's a heavy well-built, quiet, smooth workhorse.

I bought a Bodyguard Fitness top of the line treadmill retail $6k for $4,600 on Ebay. "Demo". This treadmill model should have never been offered for sale. Flawed design from the start. Would blow the motherboard at random at $2,500 a crack & only a limited warranty. Took a big loss on that one. Beware

So I recieved my treadmill and set up it. The chest strap doesnt even work, and the heart rate grips dont work either (well they do but I was walking and my heart rate would jump to 180). It doesnt have a fuction to maintain your heart rate at a certain number. Overall Im pretty pissed with the customer support, as he reassured me several times that it does and he has the same model and he does it.
