I went down this morning to sign up my dog for welfare.

At first the lady said, "Dogs are not eligible for welfare".

So I explained to her. My dog is of mixed colour, unemployed, lazy, can't speak English and has no friggin clue who his Daddy is. He expects me to feed him, provide him with housing and medical care, and feel guilty because he is a dog.

So she looked in her policy book to see what it takes to qualify.

My dog gets his first check Friday.

Damn, is this a great country or what?

Oh...I hate Welfare. In Manitoba, I find that it's overly abused. I understand that there are families that do need it and it's nice that it is there. However, in the small town that I grew up in, there are several familes that abuse it, and now their children is living off welfare And I'm pretty sure in about 15 years, their children willl be living off welfare. It's an endless cycle and it really pisse's me off. And these families keep reproducing, underage pregnancy I might add, and making more delinquent's. Because of that, it seems as if our society is becoming more retarded and useless.

Sorry about that. I get all worked up when I hear the word welfare.
