They passed it in NS. It's an instand $165 fine for the first offence, and double for the second. No grace period. No warnings. No exceptions.

I'm in the cellular industry here in NB and lemme tell you, I've sold out of headsets because of the law passed in NS haha.

Is that in Ontario? I saw the news reel and it only said PQ and NS. It didn't mention ON. Can anyone confirm this?

I hope they start pistol whipping people who drive with cell phones.
Worst drivers on the planet. They never use signal lights because their hands are full.

In fact.. I wish I had telekenetic mind powers so I could steer them into telephone poles.

Even after the second day of the law, I saw 3 people driving while on a cell. All three were women :(

That's what I thought too, that it was just in QC begining yesterday. No mention of Ontario. Didn't see anything here either: http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/index.html

are you sure they weren't just saying how it would be nice to have that in ONT now that QC has it?

I think Quebec has a 3 month grace period where they only give out warnings.
It's about time anyways. Most retards can't drive with 2 hands anyways.

So in quebec if it's illegal to talk on the phone and drive, we can just use text messages instead?:)

That's great, but my issue is not just that the holding of the phone creates a driving hazard - it's the fact that most people simply cannot concentrate on the road while engaged in a conversation. Bluetooths will not solve that problem of distraction.

I just talked with a MTO staff member and they said it wasn't in effect in Ontario. I don't know where you guys are getting your info for Ontario.

Currently using the jawbone. Pretty good and looks cool too.

Does it work as good as they say for noise cancellation??

Haven't had any complaints yet. I can put my kitchen fan on when I cook which is pretty loud and the other party can't hear it.

Seems decent to me. Don't see many people using their phones anymore.
