Hi CBB,I'm going for a 1 or 2 max 300lb bench press for the first time on monday and would like to know if i should try it before my chest workout or on my last set,personally i think I'm stronger after i get in a couple heavy sets but would still like some advice from people who have been there.Thx

Work your way up to the 300 with a proper warm up and giver shit...

if your 1 rep max is stronger after a few heavy sets, you're doing something wrong with either your heavy sets, or your 1 rep max.

Before benching, I like to warm up chest with pec deck.

depends how heavy.. muscles are stronger once they are warmed up
