I finished icing my shoulder this evening and decided that there must be an easy way of bandaging a shoulder....

I taped together 3-4" tensors to get the job done but it's pretty easy to self bandage and it only took 3 tries to get it on without being too tight.
Ice and Compression are good friends of mine. I'm happy I finally know how to wrap a shoulder.

I just unravelled some extra and passed it around my lower back and then moved it up into the right spot. nice and easy. I got 3 passes around the chest with a triple length 4" wide tensor. Nice easy compression without cutting off the blood to my arm.

hahah.
I've tried this many times in the past and to get this working half decently I usually end up in a pretzle position pressed up against a wall to be able to reach

You guys are way way way overthinking this.
Unravel the bandage an extra 3 feet and pass it from one hand to the other at your lower back. No awkward stretching required whatsoever.

Did it!! I passed it around with one hand than i used one of those kitchen tongs, reached over my shoulder and pulled it up. Don't need to stretch after all :p

I've been icing and strapping up after workouts/stretching/at night for about 4 days now and it's helping pretty quickly. The supraspinitus tendon/muscle is darn awkward to work with.
My left shoulder doesn't put up with inflammation well, not that my right does either. Damn thing gets impinged easily as there's not a lot of room between the ac joint. I wouldn't mind getting in there with a file and a wood rasp and making a little more room but it would probably hurt. I've learned that once I get the swelling down things heal pretty quick but as long as things are binding in the joint I'm pretty much ****ed in terms of rehab.
It's a shame nsaids don't work worth a shit for shoulders. Not enough blood in the darn joint. I've avoided cortisone entirely as weakening the muscle structure seems like a pretty darn bad idea in general.

I've just started in on the the white willow bark, tincture form, twice a day in between meals. It takes about two to three days to kick in but works wanders, and you don't have to worry about the stomach problems that can develope from takeing regular nsaids... just a thought.
