so for all of the guys near or in the north, if you compete or not, ben pakulski is going to be guest posing at the sault st marie show. not to sure if there is a guest for the sudbury show but for ben to come up to that little regional show is pretty sick. anyone going or know if sudbury has a guest poser as well?

Ive been to several Sudbury shows over the last 16 years and wouldnt really consider it a big boy show. When someone is good, theyre really good, but not a lot of big, mature guys... I havent been to many shows in southern ON, but it seems to me that the big guys there are much more plentiful...

And I have never known Sudbury to have a guest poser... other than Carl and Rick McCutcheon, but they are locals anyway... I havent been in a few years, so things might be different now...

The Sault Ste. Marie show is not that big but the guy who runs it Kieran Foley is hooked up with the OPA (does judging for higher shows) so he can bring in guest posers. There is going to be a seminar with Ben on training and nutrition as well. Should be good.

These are the tops 3 masters from left to right... I was a little shocked to see Chris come in 3rd?!?!

i wasnt at the show...only going by pics. But the winner clearly deserved that win and the overall. 2nd place may or may not have been close. I honestly think he deserved 3rd. George was certainly leaner, and more symmetrical. He's a pretty good light middle, and won the overall in ottawa a couple years ago i think. Chris, as you said, looks like that year round - which is impressive, but to impress the judges, you need to come in shape...And more so when you've got potential. it's easier to pick apart flaws when someone has size. That said, get him pounding those legs to balance the shape a little more, and once he gets ripped, he should do well as a master. Although with the size of his upper body, it will be hard to bring those legs up to match.

Thats a tough call...however he needs to drop alot of fat yet to get in shape...stop worrying about the scale and use the mirror.

you guys are being a little too harsh. Not too mention, how should I say....full of it? George is a great competitor. I don't know him personally, but I've seen him on stage, and there was nothing negative I could say on that guy. deserved 2nd here without a doubt. the guy is lean, and has great symmetry. And this flap of saggy old skin? must be a different guy.

No sense tearing someone apart just because someone you know (or saw in the gym) got beat. George is symmetrical and ripped. The mutant award winner was tall, and had muscle up top, and not nearly enough on bottom to match. nor was he even close to conditioned enough to be in contention here. sure - its subjective, but I would bet that in most judging line ups, that it would have went down the same way 8 out of 10 times.

PS: george is one of the more humble guys in the sport from what I saw of him competing last time. So get your facts straight before making fun. I hope he competes at provincials - he will do well in light middle if he does.
