I've always worked hard in the gym but never really paid too much attention to my diet! upon review my diet is not awesome but not the best. 11-12% BF. I keep my protein intake high with whey, fish, chicken, some beef and limit my carbs (i find this hard, especially at night). recently started researching my good fats intake. so with eggs please teach me. I really like to scramble my eggs. is this ok or am i better off to eat them some other way? and which way is that? Also is it okay to eat eggs later in the day or is this bad cuz the fat will sit and not be burned? Any thoughts and help with my egg intake would be great! thx!

When you say eggs are you talking whole eggs? Get the free range eggs, scrambling them is fine but keep them still moist, dont fry the shit out them and dry them out, and fry on low heat.

Hard-boil is #1 in my book, followed closely by scrambling or frying. I wouldn't eat the eggs raw simply because of the very slim risk of salmonella (if unpasteurized), the mess/inconvenience, and the research done on biotin and protein absorption. Hard-boiled eggs are great on the road or at the office.

Your all so lucky you can eat eggs whether raw or cooked. IM highly allergic so no egg whites/ eggs for me. Instead of egg whites for breakfest its chicken and always has been. Its a bitch but enjoy your eggs its a huge disadvantage as a BB to not be able to have them like myself.

yes i'm mostly talking of whole eggs. but also curious about just the egg whites. So i could scramble a mix of say 2-3 whole eggs with equivalent of 2-3 egg whites from a carton? Would that be ok? And also what about eating eggs later in the day? Good, not good?

I typically do a 2W:1Y ratio and I eat eggs all day long. I don't really see much of an issue with eggs later in the day if your macro-nutrients are in order. The salt can be offset by calorically-zero fluids and some sweating, and the lack of carbs means that it's "safe" any time of the day. That said, I probably wouldn't eat a dozen whole eggs before bed...

All good info, thanks! I really try to limit my carb intake so i'm thinking that eggs later in the day sometimes is not the end of the world. And though i'm not a fan of hard boiled eggs, i could learn to manage them so that i can take them with me to work so that i can eat them on the go.

You can really spice them up with a few condiments if they bother you and you can't become a fan. Ketchup, mustard, BBQ, pepper, etc. I've seen it all done.

If I drink raw whole eggs in a shake before bed I get crazy dreams.

I like raw egg whites. no taste or smell. it's fast and they go down easy. I usually drink 2 cups for breakfast.

I enjoy hard boiled eggs take them with me on the go. Or when I'm bulking, often 24 eggs/day mixed with vanilla flavored soy milk some nutmeg cinnamin & sweetener. I find its like suishi & crave it all day long. Easy way to get calories & delicious.

for me, it's cooked because I read on other forums that white eggs, even if there are pasteurized that the protein isn't weel absorbed when they are raw!

I've heard that many times before. But all I remember is one pro bodybuilder who said when he was 19 he put on 50 lbs in 6 mths and added 50 lbs to his bench and squat by adding 24 raw eggs/day to his diet. Siad it was the most productive 6 mths of his career. No AAS involved.

I've heard that the protein isn't well absorbed if there no pasteurized!
