My acne on shoulder and upper back is becoming quite a problem even after 6 weeks after completion of my pct. I might have a mma fight coming up soon and having bad acne might cause problem related to accusation of steroid use.

This is not a tested fight but my club does not allow steroid.

what is the best way to use accutane, can I use 20mg for 100 days. will this be enough?

ahh then he or you should have done some due diligence in your research on proper dosing for such a product.

Did you try google? LOTS of info out there...

The usual prescription is 50mg ED for 6 months, but thats been proven to be really bad on your health in a number of ways.

I've always ran 10mg ED until it settles down, then 10mg EOD to maintain. IMO theres no need to bomb your system when low dosage works just as well. And my acne at one point was fairly severe, I still have lots of scarring from it.

I was using 20mg I think for 3 months and it worked quite well.

DO NOT DRINK WHILE USING ACCUTANE.

My liver enzymes were 330 due to going away to banff for spring break and getting retarded every night of the week while using accutane. DO NOT DRINK. AT ALL.

You can drink just not very much. I used 40mg the first time and 80mg the second time for 6 months when I was a teenager.

Have you tried using something a little less harsh? Like say vitamin A acid cream, tetracycline, hell even try the proactive 3 step system. And you shouldnt drink while on any antibotics. I believe accutane puts a lot of stress on your kidneys not just your liver.

Also don't think that accutane is a godsend, because some people actually have said they get more acne while on it. Obviously this percentage is small.

I was on 40mg/day and it took about 3 weeks before I noticed any results, super dry lips which sucked but it eventually started to work and got rid of most of the zits on my shoulders and chest.

I would suggest trying other alternatives before using accuatne though.

If your dosing ED I highly suggest your go through your doctor. He will refer you to a dermo. Your liver, cholesterol and triglycerides will all be affected. You CAN go into liver failure while taking accutane and need bloodtests every 4 weeks to moniter it. Don't be a retard. I am talking from experience.

Your health coverage through work should pay for it in full. Mine did. Why pay for UG when your can get pharm grade for free?

Refer to my log for further information.

No one can say for sure. Dosing is based on the severity of the acne, body weight etc. Talk to your doc.

I've used 20mg, but I find there are better ways to deal with acne.

not true prescription is based on bodyweight.

yes you should see some results on 20mg a day for 100 days but it is a low dose.

I did short blasts of it in the past while on a cycle. Basically I would go by how oily my skin was then do 80mg for 4-5days. That would help dry the skin out. I also did a bit of preventative treatment at the beginning of my cycle as well, same 80mg for a few days. Worked well. Keep in mind to avoid any other sources of vit-a while on accutane.

IMO the problems come from LONG term chronic usage. But then again that applies to most drugs no?

No, most problems arise from taking a serious drug without proper medical supervision...... And if that drug is from a UG lab, particularly in a cap form, your asking for problems.

Why in the **** would anybody NOT go to their doctor, get genuine government inspected acutane, probably paid for with health insurance, and be advised of all the possible SERIOUS side affects and be PROPERLY monitored IE bloodwork a=on a regular basis.

I just don't get it, maybe I'm gettin to old or somethin?

What I'm getting at is short term usage to prevent a breakout while on a cycle, not long term usage. If you are already acne prone before juice then a)you are crazy to even be doing juice and b) yes get medical supervision for months of liver pounding/skin drying accutane.

Keeping the skin from getting too oily and causing acne is what I'm aiming for.

I guess, but after talking to my Doctor about it IMHO acutane is much more powerful, and the side effects are far stronger than AAS.
I am way more scared of it than AAS.

He didn't mention long term sides, everything he said IE liver damage and birth defects can start from day 1.
I would have been getting monthly bloodwork immediately after starting it, and he said effective birth control is a must. In the end a script for Minocycline and some ACV tabs did it for me.

I don't know how it works, but it does.
There are numerous threads on here about it, do a search you'll find lots of great stuff.
I'd highly recommend trying it.

Just out of curiosity....without getting into UG talk..... whats does a script for acutane cost?

If youve done a accutane run before than 20mg a day for 100 days will work to reclear it up, however if you havent run it before chances are that will be too low

My Dermatologist gave me

Month 1 40mg/ed
Month 2-6 80mg/ed

Yeah, my insurance is paying about $150 per 30-pack (40mg accutane per). It's Roche too, not generic.
