Great fight (even if i was wrong about the outcome), hope theres a rematch!

Stupid game plan by Frank though, wtf was he trying to trade with Cung???

Great fight indeed! Frank had a chance there for a bit when he rocked Cung in the 3rd, came almost soo close to finishing him off with that thai clinch knee .Those left roundhouse kicks just took a toll on Franks arm.

Always loved Cung but I have more respect for Frank then ever, the man talks the talk and walked the walk.

And another thing, if ufc don't get their shit together, elitexc will be the next big thing.

I don't get it. Why do fighters do this? They let their ego's get in the way and say, oh, I'll beat him at his own game. I'll stand up. Yet you are a ground and pound specialist. Imo, it was a good fight but Frank should have done whatever it took to win and not let his ego get in the way. Then if Cung won, Frank would have been beaten no matter what. As it stands, Frank lost, but he lost at Cung's game. How is Cung on the floor? No one really knows. And if Frank would have taken it there, we would have truelly been treated to a great fight and if Cung would have won, he would have truelly been the better fighter.

Yeah, I REALLY like Elite. A few of the rules could be changed, and Ive always liked a ring over the cage, but the energy in an Elite arena is way higher and more positive than in the UFC. And it seems like you rarely see boring fights.

Frank Shamrock, in defense of his Strikeforce middleweight championship a week ago, gave fans exactly what they wanted, other than a victory. He stood and went toe-to-toe, blow-for-blow with San Shou champion Cung Le. Unfortunately for him, Shamrock not only lost his title, but the use of his right forearm for the near future.

Blocking several of Le’s powerful kicks with his forearms, Shamrock had to block one too many and ended up suffering a broken right ulna. It was evident near the end of the third round, when Le threw a left head kick that Shamrock obviously had time to put his arm up to block, but instead opted to brace himself and move into the kick. Not the optimum defense for kicks as powerful as Le’s.

The injury required six screws and a metal plate to repair. It will keep him out of action for upwards of eight months, depending on how his body heals up.

He is not deterred though. Shamrock's camp told MMAWeekly.com that he does plan to fight again, although the plate will have to be removed before he can re-enter the ring.
