P90X

For anyone male or female, What do you think about P90X?

I myself have been out of the gym for a while now, I live in a small town and I work hard and long hour, the gyms around here don't stay open long enough and are crap for the price you pay.

So I heard from a few people at work and old buddy that have this P90X and they like it.

I am trying to lose the pound and get myself cut, my diet is on track and I do have a ski machine and workout weight, But I also wouldn't mind the p90x if this is really want it says it is.

If anyone that reads this post and has tryed the program, PLEASE let me know what you think.

Good for conditioning and lowering bodyfat, but not good if you are looking to build muscle (bodybuilder) IMO.

thanks guys and girls, I am looking to get cut for now, and once I am cut I want to start putting on the pounds.

My body likes putting on pound, just doesn\t like losing them, so I think the way this is layed out it will do the trick.

I have for some reason follow my diet strong and have lost around 8lb in 5-6day, and that is just by eating right.

So I am thinking once I start the p90x program I should just drop

if you are dieting correctly ANY training/cardio program will work.

trust me when I say this, if there was a BETTER way to get ripped bodybuilders would have discovered it YEARS ago. Tried and true, weights + cardio gets the job done for thousands of competitors every year as long as diet is bang on.

I hear ya nat, But I want to get a killer push and I heard this P90x is a good program.

I will hit the bench and weights also just 3 time a week since this p90x program is everyday but one so the ab and day off I will hit weights and pick another day to be my 3rd.

And for the cardio part I may try to hit up the ski machine everyday before or maybe after p90x.

So thanks for the info, and maybe I will take some picture and do a log so other can see what happens!

A killer push comes from within...a desire to go beyond what you normally would and a drive to succeed...not from some marketing hype.

If you're not looking to put on serious size, then P90X definately kicks ass. I consider myself a pretty good athlete, but i find it tough getting through one of those videos. If you're an average joe looking to stay in good condition then by all means, do P90X. If you're trying to look like a bodybuilder, stay away.

If it's going to get you to workout / move around then go ahead and get it.

If I was 25 and knew about Starting Strength, that's what I would do. I've lost almost 70 pounds sticking mostly to SS and cutting calories. I've doubled almost all of my lifts in the past year. I have only a few pounds to go before I start working on adding some more muscle.

If I had the testosterone and overall health of a 25 year old, I wouldn't waste my time with P90X.
