OMG! I've had it with those David Suzuki ads on tv. ENOUGH MOFO! Anyone else tired of those? The newest one is great too, cut a hole in the couples kitchen wall and just walk away. Man, I swear I would punch Suzuki if I saw him walking on the street.

Personally I haven't seen the commercials (I gave up my cable a long time ago) so I can't comment on them. But I generally I like him. He serves an important and necessary role IMO.

I agree he "can" be doing a great role but he's another political tool. :laugh

Take aside issues like climate change or other "environmental issues", and he has done lots just for the education about ecosystems for viewers on TV.

Some may not like him, but what are his special interests? It is not like he is trying to get rich off of being an environmentalist like a Tevangelist who proclaims their piety (Ted Haggard)

He did use the Global Warming bandwagon to his own advantage and made lots of money on it, same as Al Gore. Do you really believe David Suzuki does what he preaches? Does he take public transportation to and from work? Heck no! Trust me, I'm all for cleaning up our earth, we only got one place to live and we should cherish it but to preach to no end how we should act and behave and yet the preacher does differently ticks me OFF! Want an example?
Look at John Travolta, he joined the global warming bandwagon yet check out his house.

See the plane? Wonder how environmental friendly that is? Hmmmm...
Another thing, we had that 60 minute black out tonight, yet I check out the govt websites and no one powered off for 60 minutes except us ....
Did the casinos shutdown for 60 minutes tonight? Trust me, go hang out by the CBC building in Toronto for a few hours and see all the "enviros". I'll bet you anything not one of the global preachers walks, or bicycles or takes public transit to and from work. I do my part, I recycle, I walk instead of driving but you don't see me preaching. I say F O to all the money hungry enviros, bunch of hypocrites.:moon

But how can you trust someone to report accurately and truthfully on topic`s that you are not familiar with, when you know how blatantly he twists the truth on subjects that you are knowledgable on..He lost all credibility with me years ago because of this very thing.

As stated already, he`s found a money machine and he will do and say anything to keep it alive and well. Ever see his `home` in West Van... I have, Environmentalist my ass!!

He had/has a west van home, whether he calls it home would be a guess on my part.

As for a "good guy all around" i beg to differ, when it comes to environmental issue's he's an evil little dwarf.

west van and the west side are not the same thing. either way who cares where he lives?

He should live in a shack in the woods? He doesnt live an over the top lifestyle, living in a old house in a nice family neighbourhood doesnt make him a criminal.

Read up a bit on the author of that article.... and the comments following it
