Good videos, great intensity. Very similar to how I train legs these days. Enjoy!

A lot of intensity for not much strain on the joints.

Apparently Tom Platz did leg extensions in that manner at one time.

is he supersetting the leg press and squats?
Unfortunately in my gym or any busy gym that prob wouldnt fly if youre spending 5 mins doing a 70 rep rest pause set of leg press than expecting to walk over to the squat rack which can be at the other side of the gym in some places.

awesome vid though

Your own setup would be optimal.

welp, I tried these today.

I nearly puked 3 times.

Leg Presses I did 50 reps (3 plates/side) following by 20 rep front squats (1plate/side) and holy hell batman.

I followed up with box step ups and then extensions and some calve work. I wanted to lay down on the floor and sleep when I was done lol

I'm not sure whether this is a good way to build muscle or strength but it sounds like fun.

I'm not looking to do either right now. Just trying to keep the swelling and pain out of the knees.

So this doesn't make me look or feel like a bitch lol

lol ,good work Nate brutal stuff eh. This is the kind of shit I gotta do every leg day...I wont even read my workouts until I get to the gym and even then I'll just read what I have to do first before reading whats next.

It will build the legs most def, I think its the typeIIa fibers in there that respond to the higher rep with good weight loads. It works for me and my guys so cannot complain.

sooooo good for bulking the legs or just seperating every single muscle fibre in the lower half of your body ahha

Yah man, I tried the same thing - 6 sets leg press with 4/side 45 reps supersets with squat 1.5 plate/side for 20 reps and nearly threw up my water…LOL
Times are changing for me, in the not too distance future; I’ll have to undergo surgery to replace my femur (thigh bone) due to OA. Looks like I won’t be able to squat again. :(

I did these today, one set with 2 plates a side on leg press got the full 80 reps, felt that burn in my heels he was talking about for sure! then supersetted with 1 plate squats for 20ish... didnt keep count just went till i crippled to the ground. (thank god for squat racks haha) second set did 2 and a quarter plates a side for 75 and same deal for squats.... the real killer burn was the triple drop set leg extensions with partials at the end. JESUS what a burn. most vascular I've ever seen my legs doing those, and then they looked like balloons after haha. Love this high ass intensity workouts with minimal volume.

I wouldn't recommend it, you have limited glycogen storage on keto and these high intensity workouts would deplete those a great amount thus muscle catabolism may set in.

due to my back injury from deads a month ago and having knee issues from hockey that I've been playing I've had to almost remove squats entirely from my workout for the past little while.

This allowed me to train them with the intensity that I desire despite not being able to go as heavy as I should have been able to.

I think they are a nice bridge for time periods when your body needs a rest from regular style training.

And with 32" quads I don't really care to get them any bigger lol
