If I was going to cheat, would going out for dinner be a ok cheat?

We don't have many places to eat at, but there are a few private own places and brand names like ... Boston Pizza, Kelsys haha and that all.

The private own places are pretty high class food, so pretty much if boston pizza is ok, then these places would be.

AND

If I was not to go to though places, I would cheats at home, here are some of my ideas?

Pasta, with meatball and garlic bread?
Steak and fried potato(cheese, and veggies) ?
Bacon and eggs and whole wheat toast?
Deep fryed onion rings and chicken wings?

pretty much what I would stay around for a cheat. I am trying to lose at much fat and on a very low carb diet.

#1 - Steak and fried potato(cheese, and veggies) Drop the cheese and that aint even a cheat bro.

#2 - Deep fryed onion rings and chicken wings?

Ya I never like having potato unless it is sweet potato. So I take it, that the cheese added will be a cheat, and number 2 (deep fryed onion ring and chicken wings)

Well the onion rings are battered and fryed in veg oil, and the chicken wings are oven baked with sauce

Since your on a LOW CARB diet ( or keto ) than you will want to keep your carbs high and your fat low -

I agree, get whatever you want, heck it might even be 20 large oatmeal cookies and an entire cherry cheesecake followed by tapioca pudding...wait a sec, that's what i'm craving. Damn dieting. lol

i tend to keep the cheats pretty strict and avoid absolute junk food... so things that are totally empty cals like donuts, muffins, cookies, candy and ice cream are no nos, as well as anything deep fried

id agree that on a low carb diet your cheat should be carb dominat... id go for something like pizza, gourmet pasta and chicken, spaghetti and meatballs etc.... if carbs arent the main goal then steak and potatoes at a nice restaurant is always good, or two large hamburgers etc.

When I am dieting, its always an Earls cheddar burger with fries for some reason.

Holy shit dude.....you are eating very very VERY meticulously if those are your cheat meals lol. 75% of those meals could be eaten everyday really.

Ya, well this is my frist time getting a diet down and keeping it togather, and now that I have myself at this point. I want to try and keep it healthy but good and carbs.

I am down to almost 10lb since I started so, I am happy, But not sure if it is ok.

Cause I started 5 days ago :)!

the word cheat meal implies that it has to be junk food... i usually just call them high cal meals

depending on what rules you have set out for yourself, a "cheat" meal doesnt necessary have to consist of crappy foods... ive found that the cleaner you eat the easier it is to eat clean, so i tend to keep my high cal meals clean as well, i just eat more and allow myself some deviation from my base diet, both cutting and bulking

i say kudos for not going out there and cramming a bunch of donuts down ur throat just cuz u might be allowed to!

Yeah see for a guy that is just starting out and going good, I didn't want to go ALL out.

So like London said, I want to keep it clean, But make it a high cal/carb dinner.

Maybe once I see myself dropping and forming I will go get a cheese cake...mmm!

For me, when it was my cheat meal, I was used to take it for the souper and I eat Every things I can, but my ass keep it up to the chairs, I don't cheat in front of the tv for a cheat meal, but for a cheat day, I eat Everything I want and I'm full of food for the week!^^ but the next day, my trainings is Really hardcore and the pump is impressive because of the amounts of carbs I ate the day before!:)
