Veradero.

Go while castro is still alive. After that it will be infested with shopping malls and mcdonnalds; and the crowd that naturally comes with it. I was there 3 times. Very nice.

Once I was pulled out of the crowd at the airport and they made my empty my pockets and searched me with 5 guards surrounding me. They are pretty suspicious there if you are above average muscle size.

They were getting serious about my protein tub as well. I let them smell the chocolate powder and they were fine after that. They are good people just careful.

It depends on what your going for. If you just want to go and relax, Cayo Coco is very nice. But if you want to go to party then you'd be better off going to the mainland like Veradero or Guardelavaca. I went to Cayo Coco and thought it was awesome, but I pretty much just went to relax.
It's funny, I've heard lots of stories about how strict they can be at the airports, but I didn't notice any of that. They seem pretty laid back at the Cayo Coco Airport. I heard that they usually have guards with machine guns, but I didn't see any.

Been to Cuba twice. Varadero and Cienfuegos. Var has a bit more of a night life. Cien is better for relaxing. Regardless the beaches are amazing, but unfortunately the food is not the strong point.

Varadero is good. You can take a day or two trip into Havana as well. Its an hour and a half drive or something like that. Varadero is mostly hotels on the beach. When you walk the beach during the day you will probably meet people you know from other hotels. There are some bars / clubs in town (small town) as well. Don't know about anywhere else there. They are funny down there if you are bigger than average. You get all kinds of people asking who you are, if you are a football player, etc. Smoke some good cigars while you are down there. The rum is kind of weird tasting, as is most of the meat.

That or Cuba will be thrown into another civil war, that is a real possiblity..Be one hell of an exciteing vacation dodgeing bullets.

I hate the place the time I was there all these young hot chicks approached me on the street calling me Poppy. I think they were making fun of me due to my age. Nice beach and always good weather though.

Be more specific. Are you going alone? I have been to Cuba 8 times in the last 2 years. There is great places to party and women everywhere. PM me of you want specifics.
