I bought 2 books on the G.I diet and it's a great way to lose weight, much better than the Atkins diet IMO!

I did a fair bit of reading when I was interested in the GI and for me now, it's all about calories in the long run. What I use it for, is the timing of carbs. Post workout...high GI.....at times when you want to maintain steady blood sugar levels...low GI. The most important part is that you understand which carbs can keep you full longer and which ones will fill glycogen stores the fastest. All in all, a colorie is a calorie at the end of the day but you'll be hungrier if you eat high GI all the time. Glycemic index is a great tool imo.

big fan of GI diet. behind the diet rules, are general principles in eating healthier all around. Low GI usually implies raw unrefined foods. Better for you. Controlling blood sugar will also help you live longer and healthier.

This ancient chinese stuff is a new way to look at things for me!
Paleoethic era is cool ancient shit to look into for dieting. Chinese and Indian cultures have thousands of natural remedies that I agree are ****in cool.
