Wondering if anyone knows where in Edmonton to get the body fat tests??? Only one I have been able to find is the hand-held one and I know thats not the best one to get done. Any help is great

To be honest most of those assessment tools serve very little purpose in my opinion. You should be able to monitor progress with a scale and waist girth measurement.

I don't really know much about Edmonton, but I'm sure the University there will have a Kinies faculty. Often they offer those kinds of services. Good luck!

I get mine done at World Health Club Glenora. That's where I train, and Berant Ramsay does mine with the electrode thing.

depressing, but accurate, lol

You can try this - I use it daily but doubt its usefulness at lower BF%.

=(-98.42+(4.15*relatively snug waist measurmentaround the bellybutton in inches)-(0.082*weight in lbs))/weight in lbs

Just to give a comparison for techniques, the above measurment for me gives 11.5%

At the same time, my Tanita bodyfat scales have me at 9.5% at athlete setting while my digital bodyfat calipers (using a 3 point site measurement) show 4.7-5% BF

And I can tell you 1 week from contest I LOOK like the caliper numbers, 5% (striated glutes & vascularity in quads shoulders & lower abs)

I too contacted a local University and they do underwater weighing to train students but it has to be at the right time during their Kiniseology course which at that University is November-ish.
