didn't miss a lot of action. some heart and technical appreciation to be had but nothing to sooth the 'ol KO tooth.
gotta be impressed by GSP, after a win instead of celebrating he heads backstage, calling for his trainers and a mat to learn why his subs failed.....then pulls out a shaker cup at the post fight press conference to mix his protein drink, which he sips on while answering questions. the guy is f'n dedicated.

He apologized too for not submitting him
“It's a win,” St-Pierre said. “But I'm not very happy with myself. I made a lot of stupid mistakes.
“He's a lot better than I thought he was. I just want to apologize to my fans. I will come back better next time. I'm very sorry.”

GSP handled him like a child. If he wasn't such a gentleman he would have just snapped his arm in the first or ripped his arm off in the fourth. He easily could have done it either time but if you look closely he was putting the pressure on then easing up. Especially when he was doing the arm bar, he had tons of room to go.

He was giving it his all on the armbar and kimura, but his technique was off and Hardy was rolling into the hold as much as he could while fighting it off. You saw him "putting the pressure on then easing up" because he was trying to get better leverage to execute the submission properly. He failed at the submissions because he did not execute them properly, though in fairness Hardy showed excellent submission defense. Don't think for a second that GSP would not have snapped Hardy's arm clean off if he could have. His intention was to finish the fight and he was very disappointed that it ended up going to a decision.

which he has done before, I think, to matt hughes. had a kimura and didn't apply it correctly. I've never really been impressed with GSP submission game
